TBH Lack of hair or head gear options would not bother me much since I already do not use outside the masks, and I have changed my hair maybe twice my entire time playing FFXIV.

It would certainly be easier for sure, and honestly I see them doing this before adding a lopurret or moogle as a playable race. But we can dream and speculate!
