Isn't that how builder-spender jobs work in a nutshell? You can be reductionist about anything. At the end of the day, the one and only question that defines your performance on melee is how well you can stay on the boss while you play DDR/chicken with mechanics. Everything else becomes muscle memory.

This is more of an aesthetic thing, but it would be nice if they could register some of those multihit attacks as individually separate hits, rather than seeing your character swing three times with a single number popping up. That 'Phantom Flurry' damage style would feel really good especially if it was coupled with lots of oGCDs.
