thats ffxi it was an instanced it just didnt lock you out but it locked you in uless you telepoted out, but this stuff is being made for 2.0 with a better engine were just getting a taste right now and theres other games that did mass scale stuff and it was success.

I mean, it was instanced in same regard as each zone being an instance in itself.
