I smell congestion coming.Current engines cannot handle massive content. For present limitations this is excellent. Also, no waiting around for the event to pop, when your 25 hour timer is up you can get seven others and do this event over and over until you are exhausted. I think its excellent.
Can more than one instance run at the same time?
Just because it was poorly executed before, doesn't deter from what it could be now, or in the future. Just because you failed once, does that mean you just give up on something?
End game content looks fun.
Everything before that, isn't.
nah, i don't care what they (SE) tell me. I live in New York, the FFXIV server is in Japan (13hours away by plane). They can't do open world raids without me (east coasters) experiencing massive lag
For whatever faults it may have had, Besieged was a lot of fun. I am still much looking forward to hamlet defense, especially if seals are a reward for it. It also seems it may bring back interest in the caravan escorts which is nice.
Unlikely, it seems to me it will just be 2 more, same level in a different place, I feel pretty bad for low levels playing this game there is nothing to do but grind in XP parties and leves.
I was hoping hamlet would be a new way to level crafting but it seems not as its all 45-50, I guess when I get my weaver to 45 it will be worth doing though.
I guess I can still partake with my other 45+ classes.
No, it wasn't. Where did you get that idea?
There's no "massive player" content til after 2.0
Not that i'm sure why people want that so badly. I never like those systems, because it feels like whatever you do personally doesn't matter much.
Server location has.zero.bearing.on.performance. If the servers were located across the street from you and in the same condition it would still give you horrendous lag because of the servers being bad. Location ever since the mid 2000s has been a non-issue due to the standard tr being much higher than in the 90s.
Ping does have an impact on performance- it's not *just* the server system, though it does exacerbate the issue.has.zero.bearing.on.performance.
Location is not suddenly a non-issue because of technology advances. Pings to the other side of the world are never going to reach the level of a ping to a localized area. It is an issue, it was an issue, and it will be an issue in the future.
There is a significant difference between a 50 ping and a 250 ping.
