Got bored of grinding obviously, stopped at 32 PUG. Was waiting for Hamlet Defense.

But then Level 45 minimum?

I can't like, put out the fires on the burning buildings or something while the high levels hold the line? I can't control a catapult that does at least some damage?


Max of only 8 people? No sense of camaraderie

Not SE's fault you decided to stop leveling when we had no details on exactly what the Hamlet defense was or the restrictions involved. That's on you.

I'm personally excited about it.

Finally having content for DoH/L is awesome. Now I can fill my time on off days supplying the Hamlets. I'm curious, though, if we have a timer in game?

I'm slightly worried that the only incentive to do this content will be either: Gil, Anima Boost, Seals, Exp.

While all of those are welcome. I would like to see an actual incentive to participate like a special hamlet defense currency that could be used for unique items/equipment only available at those Hamlets. I'm already 50 so I don't need EXP, I have plenty of Gil, and i'm always fine on Anima. Seals I can always use but I would like to see something more.

I think you should get company seals for turning in items during the supply phase. Also I'm a bit disappointed with the 8 player limit, although I think you can have multiple instances running at once, it takes away from the "large-scale" factor when you can only fight with 8 people.

I'm hoping with the 2.0 game engine they'll be able to make it non-instanced and anyone can participate, like besieged from XI.

It's 8 people but 10 or more npcs. So say 20 to defend the hamlet and a whole bunch of npc mobs attacking. They were probably worried about lag

Seals are used for Sanction which lasts three hours. So more seals always is a good thing!

Hamlet was supposed to be the massive player content, guess not.
