    White Mage Flavor in 6.0

    Please give me back my Nature-Magic in 6.0. I want to be an Aerith-esque, combat-medic-druid again. And if we really, really need to keep the light/holy flavor, combine the two like the Afflatus spells. I'll fling Holy Earth Crystals and Holy Water and blow Holy Wind at people, but I don't want to be stuck with sparkly light powers only.

    Yeah having the Light Magic makes sense lore wise while on the First, but I hope that they at the minimum combine both. Like if we end up with Glare II and Dia II fine but at least add some Earth and Wind effects mixed in there.

    For example, make Glare II an eruption of light that shoots out of the grind with chunks of rocks and other debris going with it ya know?

    I don't seem them fully reverting to elemental magic, but it would be cool to at least call back to it.

    I really wish they would go back to nature magic too. Stone IV felt so good than Glare. Also Aero III was so satisfying.

    While traditionally, FF WHM is holy-based, FFXIV already said it off as nature-based. Its just sad to see them abandon the thought.

    I guess on The First it makes sense, but it'll give the wrong impression that WHM is supposed to about light. It's conflicting to say the least.

    Also there's still nature in their kit. Nearly all of their GCD except Afflatus spells are based on Wind element.

    Even Divine Benson is based on having a water shield.

    I did like how the Afflatus spells at least have a flower theme to remind us that we're still essentially druids, holy-themed druids, but druids nonetheless. If we can't go back to our roots [pun intended] it'd be nice to have more combined themes like that.

    Benison, plenary indulgence, thin air, and I think tetra have water themes, with asylum and assize having a mix of wind and watery particles, but our only "actually water" ability is the textbook definition of worthlessness....fluid aura

    tbh i never quite got the usage of light magic on the first, since black mage still got to use their elements, and they use ice which is the element closest aligned to light. Plus white mage only used wind and earth (yes they have water in lore but SE wont fucking give it to us) which are equal positioning on the elemental wheel

    I hope they bring the elements back, and give us quake and tornado already. And some water magic that we actually use damn it.

    I would be fine with losing the elements if we got a Geomancer class at some point in the future.

    I honestly thought that was the case... Like groundwork for a Geomancer DPS caster.

    On topic... I don't mind Glare and Dia but I admit Stone and Aero were more satisfying visually. Question is, would make sense for them to thematically return to Stone/Aero? Somehow it seems that those evolving to holy magic (even if technically is unaspected), looks like an "upgrade".

    I wish we can keep both the nature AND light magics, which brings me to Presence of Mind. What if PoM effect isn't only about decreasing GCD but also turning Stone IV & Aero II into Glare & Dia in addition to upgraded potencies under its duration?

    I've said it before and I'll say it again. WHM needs to have Water spells. If Y'shtola can have spells like Water 3 and Water 4 during the MSQ of ARR and all the way to the MSQ of Shadowbringers, while she is a Black Mage mind you, then WHM deserves to have those spells too. The job could also use staple moves like Earthquake and Tornado, or at least have Aero 3 back. I miss that skill.
