I'm kind of interested in getting the relic and some of the armor sets from Eureka, and plan to do it solo.
Can I solo the entire process as a Paladin, and if so how long of a grind am I looking at? Weeks? Months? YEARS?!
Thanks in advance.

Depends how active Eureka is tbh. If it's just you and you have no gear might take a while to start off since you'll have to solo spawn the fates.
Eureka is another one of SE's failed experiments.
Hey at least it's not bad as bozja.
Make sure to stock up some potion of harmony and get that elemental bonus gear.

I'd say it's worse than bozja because at least in Bozja you don't have to manually spawn the Fates. The FFXIV devs REALLY need to fix that because it's not fun having to kill 150+ mobs for a single fate.Depends how active Eureka is tbh. Lets talk about how hard that is to do. You have to :
1) Complete Baldesion Arsenal MULTIPLE times.
2) Get EXTREMELY lucky on all of the Magia increase items or spend millions of gil to buy them on the MB.
Now if every lockbox rewarded a single crystal of the zone you're in (Anemo, Pagos, pyros, hydatos) and the Hydatos ones also dropped a single BA fragment, you could manageably solo your way to the gear.
But as it stands right now, the upgraded gear is simply out of reach for 90% of the casual base and also those who don't subscribe to the third party application Discord.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

I started at the end of Stormblood and have soloed my way to the Baldesion Arsenal. I used PLD too.
It's very doable.
Depending on how hard you buckle down and grind it'll be between a couple weeks and a couple months.
All good information, thanks everyone.
So, what's the Baldesion Arsenal exactly? Is it something like CLL and DR that's basically a roadblock for the relic? If so is it something I can queue for, or will I end up on discord begging for help when I get there?
I'm kind of hoping I can do the entire relic beginning to end without having to find other people and convince them to run dead content.

If you've got a pile of gil burning a hole in your pocket, you can buy a couple Cryptic Seals off the MB to trade for the fending Osode. That'll get you a leg up to start with.
Most important thing to know/learn going in, imo, is figure out enemy aggro types. You'll save yourself a lot of headache if you understand the difference between sight and sound aggro. Anemos is almost entirely sight aggro, but it pays to know when to walk from Pagos onward.
I would expect as a PLD, if you know what you're doing, you'll have a fairly easy time of things, what with being near unkillable.

A big dungeon for up to 56 people.
If you're just in it for the relic, yes.
To finish the weapon you'll probably have to join a discord to organize a team for the Baldesion Arsenal.
I'm sorry.

Nah, BA is only for a Physeos weapon. The only thing that changes is the weapon gains extra Eureka-only stats. You're technically finished with the weapon without ever having to step in.
So, I can make all the replicas and use them as Glam without ever going into BA? That's the main thing I'm concerned with.
