Yes, it seems pretty illogical. Obviously new class weapons are not doing irreparable damage to the game or anything, and if anything it's only adding some nice stuff, but at the same time, don't you think it's kind of useless?

S.E. made the decision to make classes useless. Before making gear for classes, they should make classes have a use again.

This was just a cheap way to give crafters content, but then you realise there is no demand for these items.

the only class i would still use is archer, cause if you have an archer heavy party you really only need one of them to be bard. and the rest will have better DD buffs and survival skills.
