For the record, using a parser gets you actioned if you admit to it in game or have a go at someone with parser readouts. The devs can't actually determine whether or not you're using something without your own admission of it. That's why it's described as a 'don't ask don't tell' thing. Generally you'll be fine if you keep your usage of ACT to yourself. It's.. semi tolerated because of it's usage for the Savage crowd. Reprimanding others with info from it is not because SE doesn't want to foster such an environment.

Generally you're supposed to use it for self improvement aimed towards high end content, not to work yourself up into a frothing frenzy at how bad others are doing. There's more than a few people here who can tell you how depressing and sobering it is to do generic DF content with ACT active. It apparently won't do your mood any good.

In all honesty though you don't need ACT for that even, I can tell when, and for the record, I do not use parsers as I don't engage in high end content, I can tell even without any tools when a run isn't going as it should. When you do.. I don't know, Stone Vigil five times for the XP and in one of those five runs time it all goes so much slower and every step seems like you have to fight Nidhogg to take it, yeah.. something is up.
