I reported an BOT yesterday twice porting around to mining nodes and the same player is at the same spot(s) this afternoon and reported them again.
Why does it take so long to remove these cheaters?

See Ya!
it takes them forever basically
for SE to be able to do anything there has to be a log of the person saying "I'm a bot" or "I'm botting" to do anything about it
Generally they’re banned in waves in an attempt to follow the gil/items and hit more bots in the process.
Do they ban as they get them (or they prove they are a bot) or do they do a single ban wave once a week just before they send out that ban stats every Thursday morning?
MANTASTIC: I got 1017 problems, but playing FFXIV ain't one.
Llyren: Lala Tanks hit point density levels attract small planets
unless it is a RMT advertiser or a bot yelling about cheap gil in major cities... dont hold your breath.
FF XIV is considered a "bot friendly game"
you can translate it how you wish, but to all intents and purposes, if you see a bot, chances are, in 6 months or more you can run into it again. SE does not punish outright cheaters unless they are fairly stupid
Or chargebacks (which results in the list that makes gullible people think they're doing a banger job at 'banning' bots). But otherwise, yeah, 6~12 months in and the same bots farming/gathering stuff are around, same bot ring FC leaders doing whatever they want with the market, etc.unless it is a RMT advertiser or a bot yelling about cheap gil in major cities... dont hold your breath.

Am I the only person who doesn't get mad over bots?, I'm not for them or against them, I just don't care bout them.
I know they affect crafters so I get their reasons, but I just laugh when I see the same group of midlander blms in low lvl robes appear at the immortal flames gc.
I don't like your chance with that either. When they added Ixal dailies the whole zone would report the bots spirit bonding. They didn't disappear until 3.0. People just gave up and MPKed them or messed with them some other way when they were bored.
If you mean a bot yelling “buy my Gil on this website!” Then it shouldn’t be too long, although they’ll be immediately replaced by another.
If you mean another player botting, they won’t be. I’ve seen a player who bots gathering since HW and still does it now. Unless they openly admit they’re a bot in the chat, GMs don’t care.
