Unable to Discard Items

I was "cleaning up" my armory chest and came upon four items that I cannot sell, or discard.

They are: Tantulus Cuffs and Vest
Strife Gloves and Vest

Just curious more than anything, but does anyone know why I am unable to discard them? Or how I managed to acquire them?

Certainly only a minor nuisance to store a few items I don't want.

You can put those in the armoire, where they won't take any space.

They are like that because they're completely unobtainable out of their normal way, which is a sub reward for paying a certain number of months. It's so players don't break them and then have outright zero way of ever getting them again forever.

Or how I managed to acquire them?

They're rewards for time subscribed to the game. Once you've had X amount of time subscribed, they were automatically mailed to you.

As Jijifli says, just put them in the Armoire.

Or, after they got rid of those vet rewards (via sub length of time) you may have gotten them by the dude next to the summoner trainer in Gridania. You can buy those former vet rewards and other things via the added achievement point "currency". I think. Not in game, don't remember guy's name or proper in game term for it.

They never got completely rid of the system, the outfits are still part of it. But they moved the mounts and other stuff to the NPC.
