1) Hamlet Defense: I was really looking forward to how SE would incorporate mixed discipline parties into some sort of content (this was something he was nervous about doing.) I was disappointed with the full party requirement, but I'm happy with how they implemented this. DoW/DoM are still the primary players here, but the DoL/DoH effect the rewards before they even get started. Talk about an incentive for participation! But if that's not enough incentive for some folks, I'm sure the boost in anima for turning in items will seal the deal for the majority.

2) Sanctioned gear and GC gear set bonus: Sanctioned bonuses seem fairly hefty. Hefty enough to compete with single meld materia, if the example is accurate across the board. I doubt the set bonus will be worth sacrificing AF gear or melded sets. Likely an option for newbies and the poor.

3) I'm going to move my retainer and inn HP and main HP to gridania. It's where Louisoux is, it's wear the Hamlet Defense is happening, and it is likely going to be where I'll be spending more of my time from now on. Yay! It was my starting city. Happy to be back there again.

6) Can gather Cobalt in Cedarwood now. Gold in Halatali, Darksteel in Dragonhead. I picked a good time to take up the Miner's Life for Me Achievements. Astral Rock quarried in Dragonhead. wonder what that's for. Spruce log in Dragonhead. Trillium Bulbs harvested in Iron Lake. Boo... I guess we're not getting Grade 6 now.
