Request: Anti-cheat system for rampant botting.

The fact that they have such an explicit statement against cheating in their ToS then do so little to actually combat it bugs me.

Their seeming attitude of "innocent until proven 100% guilty" really isn't working and should consider that if people are constantly piling them with reports that maybe there are a lot more cheaters in the game then their automated detection methods are suggesting.

Bot forums, discords and other bot websites are not carefully hidden or restricted to users only. They're very open about it, since there's little risk. Anyone can see them with a quick google search.

So you're a bot user? I just assume as I suspect that's a bot application discord?

One that anyone can just decide to hop into by just googling onto one of the websites and clicking their discord link.

Square Enix themselves could easily access those too themselves if they so wished, and if your bot developers are that bold that they aren't trying at all to stay off of the company's radar, then they're either really stupid because that's a quick way to get shut down, or the company is being neglectful of the problems.

I'll let you figure out which one happened.

I see. I'm not actively looking for these things but seems some users here are. That's on you/them.

I honestly don't even need to try to find forums/discords/etc related to bots and simply doing FFXIV searches pertaining to content that is frequently targeted by said programs is often enough to bring them up.

Which kind of says a lot about how prevalent the problem is...
