How to Gain Access to Snowsoak Springs?

First, I wish once again to thank the experienced people who read these forums and help others like myself who post questions seeking help here.

Without the information I receive here, I would have stopped playing the game long before now because I was unable to determine how to do something.

I was unable to figure out how to obtain yellow crafter's scrips and was finally able to figure out what my problem was by posting it here. A HUGE thank you to Zeich!!

However, learning how to obtain yellow crafter's scrips did not solve my problem of not being able to purchase the more advanced Masters Crafters recipes. I discovered that before I can obtain books III and above, I have to craft a Balanced Darksteel Hook in order to obtain the Masters Blacksmith book II.

And to craft that, I need 2 Fieldcraft Demimateria III which, I believe, can be purchased from Anna who is in Snowsoak Springs in the Firmament. At present I am unable to get there as the only option available to me on the Skybuilder's Board is "The Skyrise Celebration is Underway."

What do I need to do in order to obtain access to Snowsoak Springs?

Is there another way to obtain the Fieldcraft Demimateria III? Perhaps by salvaging items?

I was under the impression that you didn't need the Master craft book II to get the higher level ones as the higher ones are just direct buys from the various script vendors in the main cities and the end game hubs.
I think Anna might be locked behind some of the firmament quests and possibly one of the custom delivery quests. You should be able to buy them from the other script vendors who are in the market areas of each starting city and there should be one in each of the expansion endgame hubs.

The other way of getting Fieldcraft Demimateria III is by dysnthasing certain items.

Specific high level crafting and gathering gear (non-leveling gear) will desynth into FCIII demateria, but it will usually cost you alot of gil/scrips to get the gear to deysnth. You can also just buy them off the market board for a much cheaper price or buy them from any scrip vendor in the game, not just Anna (who isn't anywhere near Snowsoak, not sure why you're being told that, she's in a stall right next to the New Nest aetheryte).

Also, yes each book has its own requirements for unlocking and buying and can be bought in any order. All master books from III and up can simply be bought for yellow scrips from any scrip vendor. It is only I, II, and the Demimateria books that have special requirements.

I will check the marketboard again. But when I checked it earlier, there were no listings for fieldcraft demimateria III, nor any history of sales.... nothing.... which I presumed meant they were unmarketable. Perhaps I misstyped it and I will try again. I believe I also tried to purchase books III and higher from the scrips vendor in Ul'dah, but he would not offer to sell me any. Again, I presume you have to already have book II before you can purchase higher level ones.

ZOMG!!! I must have misstyped Fieldcraft the first time I entered at the MB! I can buy them! Not cheap...... but much, much, much cheaper than it would be for me to figure out hot to get to Snowsoak Springs! Thank you everyone! I am off to have fun collecting yellow crafter's scrips and acquiring all the higher level crafting books.....

See you all the next time (which I am quite certain wont be too far off into the future) I get stuck again. Love this game... but it tests my patience at times... and once again a big THANK YOU to all of you who have helped me and others.

The books (and demimateria) should be available from any scrip vendor as long as you have yellow scrips unlocked. There is an option to buy Master Recipes from their list when you talk to them. And Snowsoak springs has nothing at all to do with demimateria, scrips or anything related to crafting. Anna is in a stall by the New Nest aetheryte in the Firmament, which might need you to unlock collectibles with Ehll Tou, but nothing else.
