I googled that supposedly exclusive "scarf", and I have gotta say... I'm not impressed.. at all. Isn't it actually a bandana for that matter? If people are wearing that out of some sort of prestige.. uh.. Frankly, the thing looks awful.

Other than that, maybe we will one day see the DR rewards as part of a moogle event. It would be lovely to destroy their value on the marketboard, and come EW will probably be unobtainable otherwise.

honestly i'd be down for ANYTHING from pvp to be on the mogtome events, just on precident at this point, since it's pretty much the only content that hasn't be touched so far.

So what is your opinion on it? You just say, people are showing off rare items, well that is very normal in a RPG.

You want to give everyone all "sportscar" items in the game? Would people be happy about what they achieved if everybody else has it too?

I do not care what anyone else has.

My point was that there seems to be a subset of players who care strongly about what other people have or think and want to be able to show off when really most people just don't care.

In fact if you were on Tonberry, you might recognize that I give away the Xmas stuff (and occasional trees) every xmas season for about a week. Like 1,000s of sets. If it makes more people feel happy, isn't that a good thing? (I'm very noisy on there with shouts during that time...)

If people are able to enjoy "the things" then that shouldn't affect me. When I got "the thing", it was worth whatever grind to me to get it... or it wasn't and I didn't get it. Me seeing "the thing" on some one else does not affect my opinion of them in any way.

It's like the newest glamour-of-the-month. if I really really really want it, I'll grind the mats out of treasure maps or pony up the gil. Or if I don't I'll just wait like 3 months and get it when it's no longer in season.

Case and point: I do not typically grind the primal mounts until I can practically solo them or do them unsync'd with friends like like... 1-2 minutes. I don't own a single SB wolf mount. It's not worth it to me to deal with the RNG despite not being that hard. Buuuuut if I'm running roulettes for tomestones anyway, and I can get one of those on the side, hey- win win.

Or, alternatively, seeing the new expensive gil mikoshi mount. When I see one, I don't think "oh wow, such a sexy player! He has so much money! I envy him!", I think "lol, that mounts fun looking. It's too much for my tastes, but if it makes them happy, good on em"

As a player who actually did try to PvP and go up the ladder, PvP achievements are no joke - The top 100 deserve the rewards they get - climbing is rough and it requires a lot of skill, tactics, positioning, and knowledge to get through the battle and win as a team. There's also a lot of time dedicated to just PvPing - not one or two battles, but over hundreds of battles, possibly thousands to get to the standing they were at. I remember reaching high silver rank on one my characters way back and I played over a hundred games, and people usually end top 100 with the lowest rank being platinum.

The amount of games played can't be translated over to PvE where fights are scripted and you can memorize the fight mechanics or unsync a fight to get the rewards easier (Kamuy Fifes) - you are fighting against actual players who can think and strategize as well, so they can change plans on the fly and adapt based on your tactics too. As you go up the ladder, people just get better at adapting because they would remember exactly how long their opponent's skills were last used + when they are about to be up, and play accordingly to interrupt or break your rhythm.

The difficulty of PvP pretty much stays relevant all year around, so it makes no sense to suddenly put them on the moogle tomestones in comparison to the other items listed.

PvP rewards are literally a representation of the sheer dedication and effort you put into learning and improving your job and role in battle. You can still get rewards from previous seasons even if you don't place top 100 by collecting wolf collars, but you just have do multiple seasons to get enough wolf collars depending on the rank which you end at. The top-100 specific rewards are pretty much in the same boat as those who spent days trying to get the title Saint /Beatus of the Firmament and solely focusing on nothing else but the title. It wouldn't make sense to give the person who achieved #1 the first place trophy furnishing for getting first place for the effort they put in, then let everyone else be able to buy the trophy too. The same applies with the mounts, though I'd argue there should be a separate mount that looks similar enough that you should be able to buy them with wolf collars even if you don't place top-100. That way, it doesn't feel like you're permanently locked out from having this type of mount entirely if you weren't able to play that season, but people who did play that season will still have a mount unique to them that signifies they made the effort to place top-100.

There should definitely be rewards that are only obtainable by doing ranked PvP only, but I hope they give an actual reward that isn't wolf collars for people who end up reaching at a certain rank (gold and above). It does feel pretty terrible to spend a lot of time to climb up to gold to get wolf collars, but then realize you don't actually have enough collars to redeem for anything you want. If the rank guaranteed at least a piece of gear or a mount based on the color of your rank in addition to the collars, it would be much better imo. That way, more people have a chance at the rewards / will strive for a certain ranking and PvP would be more active now that people that aren't the top-100 can get something as well.

I dont even care what others have, im annoyed i cant get certain pvp mounts and stuff, but welp... I just dont see why its asked too much to add recolored stuff and not EXACTLY the rewards you get for certain things like the beast tribes etc...


And lets face it, even i just recently stomped kefka savage for the mount... nothing is special anymore on that. Lets be real there, sure, savage is a lot harder then ex trials but after 8 kills your static got mounts, while i can do that f------- primal a 100+ and still wait months.


Theres so much stuff they could give away... remember the Elbst (i hope its the same name lol) from the moonfire faire some years ago? THAT would be a blast. Or Idk as we talked on some other thread, a different colored Twintania, wyvern, anything.... theres so much stuff they literally only gotta tack some new color onto it and call it a day - and we would be happy.



Im not salty about other ppl gettin it easier, though it is kinda an insult to say "meh do 10 pvp matches or smt and youre good" im sad about trashing our efforts...

This is where I would like things to go personally. I've been here since 2.0 launch and have every event item ever. I would not care in the slightest if they brought them back for newer players.

especially old event stuff would be nice... the contents winner gear for example is great! It might be "useless" but i really liked that idea.
