Honestly while I enjoy pet classes and would hate for them to go, I'd rather they actually they build on them, if they do get the axe I'd like it if they went the Dissidia Yuna route for SMN, just get rid of the dots and all trace of ACN and just have every skill summon parts of all the different primals with bigger skills temp summoning the whole (though smaller) thing and Demi's reserved for their bursts, though I feel even though the Demi's are well liked, they're kind of a problem as well as like Egi's before them, people just want more of them, and with how they work, you can only add so many before fights would end before you'd rotate through all of them, so if they did keep adding to them, they'd either need to be cosmetic (Egi glam 2 electricboogaloo) or they could do different things, (runs the risk of never use Titan/Contagion dominance) or they'd just need to work differently from how they do now and not be a big build up burst phase thing.

I enjoy current summoner.....I'm worried they're just going to cut out systems to streamline it. >.>

I mean, they shifted the goalpost so long for SMN's egi glamours that them saying they've halted work on it to "address" other things about SMN is essentially dodging the question while confirming what a lot of us already assumed. The last interview that contained a question about SMN egis was right around just before ShB which basically got another non-answer along the lines of "I think its about time we reveal our plans about SMN" ...before going another whole expansion cycle without a peep about it. Back in SB it was like: "but we gave you Bahamut, *laughs* and also separately commenting that they couldn't decided whether to release new egis one-at-a-time or as a bundle.
So not only have the goalposts constantly been shifting, the excuses have kept changing throughout, so maybe they are better-off simply turning egis into an aesthetical glamour and just make SMNs a stance/trance DoT mage. I would suggest removing pets altogether but then that'd eliminate their darling little Carbuncles.

I think it would be interesting if they took SMN in a similar direction of Ysayle. When we summon an egi we imbue ourselves with its power which gives us a number of oGCDs to use; each egi could have a different theme to its abilities (ie Ifrit drops a couple puddles of fire, Titan gives a few small defense debuffs, Garuda has some aoe blasts, etc.) Its not too dissimilar from what the old egis had with different skills, just more in depth and no separate pet for it. Ysayle showed us it can be done and now with the new tempering lore, we could theoretically do it safely.
It would also give much more room to expand the system instead of the ever longer rotation they're doing now. And if the egi skills don't share a recast timer it could open the potential for some very interesting rotations and weaving through different egis.

I'd like that too. The possibilities if infused with a darkness based primal...I think it would be interesting if they took SMN in a similar direction of Ysayle. When the game's story becomes self-aware:

Nah but they might just become cosmetic. Something to run around the towns and outside with. Like a oversized minion.

Kinda disappointing by both of these interviews.
At least it's not at the level of "We WilL flOAt oN tHe MoOn?" or information about if there is oxygen in space.
About Frosty's interview
I hope we don't get to see anymore 48 man content, I know they want more largescale content but the clear rate is so low, rewards are bad and getting 47 other players together, hell no.
Kinda amazing how they focus so much on making sure the melees don't miss 4 GCDs, hope it means they'll focus aswell on making the physical ranged, Yoshida completely dodged the topic. I can feel they want to babysit the community so much they'll remove positionnals.
About challenges on savage such as some clear time, it's a good question. Kinda wish we'd have unreal for savage, that you must clear once to get the reward.
About pvp and small scale content... I love responsibilities, that's why I choose physical ranged. Anyone dislikes being an important part of a small team and would rather like to be an insignificant member of a big group? Let's be honest, it's about carrying the masses that feel that the game is too hard. However about the pvp question, next liveletter is in a week, why not simply wait rather than ask a question Yoshida will avoid? New reward system is neat thought.
Chocobo racing and gold saucer... Honestly I don't care about the question, but it's relevant to the MMO-JRPG part of the game and the community that does anything else than battle content. Same about the other mini games, it's "why not" questions.
About Mr.Happy interview
I think Yoshida talked about how 6.0 will end straight away unlike previous expansion, was it necessary to ask about the challenges the team will meet? Nothing will change except the MSQ.
Ultimate development can be fine, I guess. But appartment enhancement...? At this point why not ask about housing? Question about Egi-glamour is weird, I mean at this point we all figured that it was abandonned for SMN rework or at most post-poned. You get 10 questions, why ask something anyone with 2 functionnal brain cells can figure out?
Fates and CE, good question. I love CE, problem is that we won't have Lost actions for it or going in with a chocobo might need extra work.
"It took me 92 kills of Emerald weapon before I saw a MNK weapon!" Pretty please, that's why tokens exists. Update on the loot can be a good thing as long as they include mounts purchasable from the beginning.
Collab like MH, good. Quests number, ARR was revamped and I don't see anyone claiming there's too much HW quests.
Overrall... I don't know if they actually choose the questions. Thought, Yoshida sometimes avoid questions, other time he adds details that can interest the community.
No questions on how ShB contents was received and evaluated by the Devs, did the team learned something from Bozja front, Ishgard restauration? Is there mistakes from these content they want to absolutely avoid in the future?
I'm sure BRD players would take a scrap of information at this point, even something as light as "We're on it" from Yoshida. Or even about the Infuriate copy-paste to other jobs such as DRK.
Not great questions apart from a few and the way Yoshida envisions challenging content is really scary.

For some clarification, Happy said he submitted these questions several months ago hence asking about the struggles with Covid. It was more relevant when he was actually asking than now. Both he and Frosty, apparently, submitted a handful of questions which Yoshida chooses. Happy's said he tends to avoid too many controversial questions because they won't answer them. The Egi-glamour is more a meme on by his stream community since he and Twitch chat frequently joke how it'll never happen. To be fair, Yoshida gave a much better answer than I would have expected; more or less confirming a serious SMN overhaul.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."

Exactly. It's easy to say "Why didn't they ask this super specific hardcore question?!?" but then would complain if YoshiP just answered it with "We can't talk about that" or "Just said 'Yes' or 'No' with no explanation. There's already enough complaining about YoshiP dodging questions already. And of course the questions were vetted ahead of time too. First off, the first time you tried to pin YoshiP down for some sort of controversial hot take question is the last time you'd get a chance to ask him any questions at all and secondly, YoshiP isn't going to answer any questions he doesn't want to anyway. So why waste your chance at asking a question just to try to feel like a big man?
