I mean, he was pretty straight forward with the red mage reveal lol. He wore a Scarlet Witch shirt and was using french terms a lot.Yoshi-P uttered the word "necromancer" at least three times within one minute during the announcement showcase, so it absolutely won't be necromancer. Quite simply, if it were necromancer, he would have named any possible job but necromancer. He laughed and said "Necromancer" sarcastically along with something I didn't understand, but Koji's response was, "Ha, yeah, please, it's not going to be... [hand motions]".
They further trolled with mention of Necromancer a few minutes later in regards to Yoshi-P continuing to work on XIV even after death.
The. Job. Is. Not. Necromancer.
While we are at it...about the next melee dps...
I have gather some images which could have connections between them (city, shirts, weapon, characters, name job) :

Let me point something out I noticed about your photo album. You are trying to claim part of the chair is the head of the scythe:While we are at it...about the next melee dps...

The handle of Zenos's weapon terminates in front of the wing of the chair. What you have highlighted is a pipe-like protrusion that goes down behind the wing of the chair. There is no blade on it. All you got is knob (which looks a hell of a lot like a sword pommel) there behind the pipe-like protrusion from the chair's wing and a handle that looks wrapped in red cloth.

I was thinking that the "knob" was actually a counterweight on the staff, but in that image yeah it seems clear that the staff just ends. The handle of Zenos's weapon terminates in front of the wing of the chair. Seems that whatever implement is affixed to Zenos' staff - be it a hammer head or a scythe blade - is resting on the ground at his feet.

Ok, zoomer.Gaius is a little old to be trying to pick up a new weapon and learning how to use it from scratch. He's not a young man filled with energy anymore... like Zenos. Gaius also isn't really in that stage of his life where he is going to be fighting a lot. If he's going to do anything it's leadership stuff.
The reason why people are operating on the assumption that someone will "be" the new job is because of all the teasing related to Zenos's new weapon. The implication seems to be that Zenos will be a practitioner of the new job.
I honestly figured he pick up something crazy we players don't have access to. Like the fight in Memoria Miseria.

You know, come to think of it that might actually be what he's doing. He killed Varis and I am pretty sure Zenos acquired his father's gun-sword afterwards. It is a big beast of a sword with a red blade like Zenos's previous weapon so it is his style and the Final Fantasy series does like arming final bosses with red longswords:
It would be a new weapon to his collection which he wouldn't have had time to test out before his conversation with Fandaniel. It would also be appropriate because it is the weapon that belonged to the last Emperor of Garlemald and it would be not what Fandaniel expected since Zenos previously dumped the gunblade in favor of a katana. In fact, that scene of Zenos inspecting the katana before throwing it at Fandianel mirrors the one where he discarded his gunblade in front of Asahi and picked up his first katana.
That's a pretty weak argument. So let's assume that people ARE right and it was Necromancer... well, Yoshi wouldn't want to confirm that. So the only option is to deny it, even laugh about it.Yoshi-P uttered the word "necromancer" at least three times within one minute during the announcement showcase, so it absolutely won't be necromancer. The fact they denied it so hard actually supports the fact that it's going to be Necromancer. "Thou dost protest too much".
Personally, I'm calling it to be Necromancer, with a Scythe for weapon, and will be the first melee caster.
If they didn't want to confirm it they wouldn't draw attention to it. They could easily just not say necromancer. Since we know the arte of necromancy is hard taboo in eorzea and most places i doubt we would get necromancer in nameThat's a pretty weak argument. So let's assume that people ARE right and it was Necromancer... well, Yoshi wouldn't want to confirm that. So the only option is to deny it, even laugh about it.
