Glamour option to remove tails

I don't know where to suggest this..
There should be a glamour option to remove tails. The tail ruin my other glamour most of the time.

I see lot of people pretending to be developers or pretending to know about how things work. So let's address this.

1."It would put too much strain on the server"
No it's the opposite.. It would lessen the strain on the server because the game doesn't need to process data about tail size, tail form, tail length. It would just be tail "yes" or "no". Even from a framerate perspective less physics=more performance.

2."I paid for the game so I'm gonna use it"
Who is telling you to not use it? No one. If you don't want to use the option does it affect you? No it doesn't. Why are you against something that doesn't affect you? Think about it. If you can't find the answer think harder.

3."When you pick a race with the tail you are agreeing to tail clipping on clothes"
No I'm not. What kind of statement is this? Clipping is not a feature.

4."Use fantasia"
No I don't want to change race. I don't like other races. This is not about races. This is about clipping issues.

The comments in this post are more like "I want everyone to be like me.. you can't be different!", "I'm disagreeing with you even though it doesn't affect me..not sure why. Can't find a reason yet".

As I said before..Biggest problem with the tail is it's clipping over clothes. Specially the long coats with moving physics.

There is one. It's called Fantasia. Just make sure you select the race that's without a tail. Might be hard to miss with all these tailed races at the selection screen but I assure you, they exist.

If that's the case, then what's the point in playing any of the tailed races? Clipping tails is just a tradeoff for playing one.

I think it actually is a different level of request.

Unlocking the racial gear would ultimately just be adding more pieces of gear to the game - something they do regularly.

Adding a "hide tail" button would be adding an extra setting to the character display information that needs to be transmitted to other players, which they never do.

Also, tail display does currently seem to be controlled by equipped gear (I think specifically the chest piece), with a small number of pieces that hide the player's tail such as the Evenstar coat and presumably a certain NPC's outfit in Shadowbringers, and recently Alphinaud's outfit until they fixed it.

You know. Ignoring the cat ears and the cat facial features and each race’s distinct gestures and posture.

Tails can look horrible in some pieces (the animal suits that don’t hide them....why....) but not everyone minds. A toggle option would be a nice addition for those who do care. It doesn’t bother me personally but I don’t really see the issue with something like that being implemented.

Comparing these two is like saying a woman wanting to wear a man's shirt is like someone wanting their arm to be invisible.

You're not changing anything about the anatomy of your character by having access to certain clothing or hairstyles. Unless it's any of Minfilia's outfits (which entirely turned me off buying them but that's another topic on its own).

I'm not against making tails invisible, I just don't think it's similar to wanting access to more clothing and hairstyles. That said I am confused why someone would choose a race that has a prominent physical feature they dislike.

I think I don't want a "remove tail" toggle but rather the gear itself is made with tails in mind. There's a lot of pieces that feel like they forgot some races have one.

On the subject, if you play as an au ra and you use mods to take off the scales and tails, you're a coward.

I'm not opposed to some sort of tail-tucking option, personally, but it seems pretty strange to stick with a race whose major physical trait is one that annoys you for most of the time.
