Why's the WoL Changing to Paladin?

Not certain what they'll do with Zodiark but just to add, the image really gives me a strong Yin Yang vibe.

While I'd not be annoyed if we still have to fight Zodiark I would hope at least that he's not labeled as 'evil'.

Well they already said in the recent fanfest thing he isn’t evil. Not that i had ever believed that mind you I personally suspect that they’ll put an actual Zodiark fight into the 8 man raid so they can actually showcase his power in savage but i doubt we’ll fight against him in msq. They’ve thrown a looot of hints about us having to go to him and protect him from being used maliciously.

He realized DRK was kinda bland in ShB and switched to PLD.

he doesn't really look evil here though his face looks shocked or worried possibly even scared .

He also does not have a weapon while Hydaelyn does.

Honestly when I see that picture of Hyadelyn she reminds me of Shiva, Altana, and Cloud of Darkness.

That picture of Zodiark reminds me of Ifrit, Maduin, and Sephirot.

They're both probably kinda bad in their own ways. They're also just following the established, "Women monsters look like hot women and gentle with thigh highs and things." Male monsters are ugly, buff, horned, and fiendish looking.

Isn't Final Fantasy is all about swords wielding major part of the characters? What else? Wield guns, some AK47, M4? huh I'm not playing The Secret World am I?

Depending on who you ask, the main character of FFXII wielded a gun.

I don't think they'll put Zodiark in the raid instead of MSQ. The raid stories are optional and that seems like kind of a big thing. Eden tied into the msq in the sense of restoring the First, I think the pandaemonium raids will be more like that. Wrapping up loose ends from the msq but not something as major as Zodiark, seems like too major of a thing not to wrap up in the msq itself. And if Zodiark is in one way or another the end boss, that means 6.1 will have Zodiark EX too.

That’s if he’s even a trial in the msq though. He very well may not be and they instead give him a proper fight in the raid. An extreme trial isn’t really good difficulty to gauge the power of him. Similar to how we had midgard as a dungeon boss but then they gave him a proper fight in the omega raids. It doesn’t really have to be a major thing if it’s simply a “what if” thing in the raid. Similar to the eden primals.
