Worse has happened, its not as widely talked about but people have done worse to a lot of players in this game. From organizing gas lighting people to full on slander to the point a person quits the game, and thats just the JP servers. NA has doxxing, death threats and hacking peoples accounts to delete their accounts, the list goes on really.

What ends up very difficult to believe is the manifestation of some sorcerous real life blindness all because of consistent phrases? Look. I get the whole "Something something the body does weird things," but it's not believable anyways.

Not really. I didn't read everything this person posted but I can activcly in game point out fcs and groups that act cult-like.... And most people stay away from them. Though, I do agree with you about therapy, remember some people have little access or not enough to pay for it.

In Hyperion there is a FC dedicated to making PR and ERP where there are rumors that once you enter that FC it is impossible to leave it because they do manipulative tactics in addition to the fact that the people who have left it are persecuted.

I have a drama with a FC that has invented a movie about me due to some differences of opinions where they have practically dedicated themselves to speaking lies to other guilds of me so that they do not play with me lol

In Gilgamesh a girl was dedicated to manipulating Simps and then destroying their virtual life with blackmail and photos while they were harassed by the followers of this girl to the point that when she changed to Moogle people celebrated this and began to warn people of that server about that girl

Around the time a friend of mine got into XIV back in heavensward, they met a person on their original server they started on, said person actively manipulated them for for around a year ina half. They used mental, verbal, and emotional abuse to keep them around. From what they told me they essentially looked for people who were specifically lonely and depressed, usually suffering from break ups or family death, from their they would lull them into a sense of security and actively befriend them and become a support figure.

Once all of that was situaited they would ERP with them and creat this Idyllic relationship, all the while they would cheat on them and then eventually creat a harem around themselves, as this harem would form they would pit all the other against one another for attention, going as far as making people within this harem turn on someone fr not wanting to do certain things, such as watch anime, playing games, just sitting around to be available all day in case said person wanted to do things.

As a whole its left long term mental scars and its hard for them to trust people like they used to.

People in this game will go through and do horrible things to people for thier own enjoyment and their own horrid reasons.

So the take away from this is to not trust any degenerates that play 14. Good message that I can get behind.

Whether the incidents you describe are real or not, it's fairly evident that you're experiencing intense psychological consequences, and I urge you to seek some form of professional help.

What you are describing is worryingly consistent with the types of delusions paranoid schizophrenics experience, and the onset of schizophrenia can be specifically heralded by sudden changes in vision and other optical abnormalities. I've spent a lot of time around people struggling with schizophrenia, as it runs and my family and I have a few friends who suffer from it as well. I think it is very much worth your time to see a professional about all of this.

Because even with reports issues like this go on and happen to many other people and the GMs are spotty at best with dealing with harassment. its a larger issues affecting the game, not with theses specific people, but in general with harassemnt, and needs to be taken care of better by SE and the GMs.

It shouldn’t really get to this point in the first place? Blocking exists. Blacklist exists. Name change exists. There’s so many ways you can prevent it and go in the opposite direction. It’s an online game, if people can’t handle it then they shouldn’t really be online.

They make multiple accounts to target and harass people, and many players have documented these things going on for years now, I wish it was as easy as black listing.

Also thats a silly take, would you tell a loved one to stay offline if they were being harassed, would you tell your sister or brother that? Someone is actively finding them and ways to hurt them, and thats your take. Thats a yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes my guy, thats a big y i k e s right there.
