Q: Is the Chocorpokkur mount account wide?
A: No, you must choose a single character to receive the mount when redeeming your promotional code. Once the code has been redeemed, it cannot be used again.
Is the code region locked?
A: The code itself is not region locked. The promotion however is U.S. only. The receipt will need to be from a US store and a US address must be provided with submission. *Some users have suggested the verification process may also check to make sure submissions were made by a US based IP address.
US only? What about the rest of North America?
A: Unfortunately you will likely need a friend in the US that doesn't want the code and is willing to give out personal information to submit a valid receipt and send you the code they receive when accepted.
EU?!
A: No information has been given about an EU promotion. Promotions are generally kept in the dark until shortly before they begin and it can be months between promotions in different regions. Understandably this can be worrisome as the Black Fat Chocobo never ended up with an EU promotion. At this time your choices are to go by the previous FAQ question, hope EU gets a promotion in the coming months or hope the promotional item is achievable via the mogstation/moogle tome event in the future.
Q: Do all Butterfinger products qualify for this promotion?
A: No. Please check the bottom of https://gamewithbutterfinger.com/en-us/Rules for a list of qualifying products.
Q: Can people from the same address participate?
A: Yes! Each person will have to submit a unique qualifying receipt and enter with a unique email address.
Q: They have less than 200,000 codes to give out, scalpers are chewing through the supply, the end times are here, what the heck?!
A: Butterfinger has stated they will continue to get additional codes throughout the promotion to meet demand. The number given on the website may be a legal requirement for the promotion, but more 'prizes' may be added.

Q: Do I get additional codes for every additional $5 in qualifying product on my receipt?
A: No, only one code will be sent per accepted submission regardless of the amount spent on qualifying product beyond the required $5 amount.
Q: How long does it take to verify my submission and/or receive my code?
A: It can take up to 5 full days to receive a response to your submission as to whether it has been accepted or rejected. If accepted, you will receive the code in the acceptance email. If rejected you will be notified by email and given one additional chance to submit a valid receipt for that email address. Be sure to check spam/junkmail folders in case your email program redirected emails there. Emails are sent by noreply@prizelogic.com (it should be obvious, but don't try to communicate to that email address).
Q: It's been over 5 days (120 hours total) and I have not received any response to my submission, what do I do?
A: Double check your email, including spam/junkmail folders. If you've confirmed you have not received an Accepted or Rejected correspondence then head to https://gamewithbutterfinger.com , plug in your email again and see if it says they're still verifying your receipt. If you still can't find anything, you can send an email to ffxivbutterfinger@prizelogic.zendesk.com (please do not do this if 120 hours have not passed since you submitted your receipt) or use the customer support form. I don't know the average response time for their ticketing system, but understand you may have to wait over a day for a response. Alternatively (or if you can't get a response from prizelogic) you can try sending a Direct Message (DM) to Butterfinger on twitter.
My receipt got rejected, why?
A: Check your receipt to make sure:
- A valid entry date is visible.
- It's clear that you purchased at least $5 of qualifying product after discounts and before taxes or other fees. (Have seen a few people caught up in being close, but not at/over $5. That is the cut-off, there's no leniency.)
- No more than 10 products are listed on the receipt. (They're going through a ton of these receipts, they don't want to have to play where's waldo with the specific items they're looking for and they may reject anything taking too long.)
- Receipt is for less than $50 in products.
- They may look to verify the purchase was made in the US.
- Receipt is unmodified.
They are human, mistakes in looking over receipts can happen. If you feel your receipt has all those bases covered, you may try re-submitting it if you have another chance. If it still gets rejected you may trying sending a direct message to Butterfinger on twitter asking for assistance.
Q: Person X already received their code and it's been less than 5 days but I submitted at the same time/before them, what gives?
A: For whatever reason people have received codes out of order of submission. This is how it's been for many people, you're not alone. Anticipate that regardless of order submitted, it may take the full 5 days (120 hours total) to get a response to your submission.
My receipt was accepted, but uh... there's no code?
A: The code is located between "Your receipt was approved and you earned a free Butterfinger Final Fantasy XIV Chocorpokkur Mount. " and the instructions to claim it. If no code is present, send a Direct Message to Butterfinger on twitter.
