    Random Ideas: What Abilities, Traits, and/or Rework you want?

    Hello there everyone hope everyone is doing fine. I have this random thoughts of idea I want to share with you guys. You can say I am idiot I should shut up or add or rework ideas. Here some ideas I got in my head I would love to share with you guys if you don't mind.

    Conjure a simulacrum of your darkside to fight alongside you.
    Simulacrum Attack Potency: 300
    Duration: 24s
    Blood Gauge Cost: 50 [Recap]


    DRK Idea 1: Level 85, Trait Living Shadow Extend: When Blackest Night pop and use Edge or Flood off Shadow it extend the timer on Living shadow. I want to say every 3 sec it can refresh the timer.

    Pro: Living Shadows stays up making feel like other party member you don't have to work about it.

    Con: Worrying about timer for Living Shadow. Making sure you hit the Edge or Flood.

    Upon HP recovery via healing magic cast by self or a party member, a protective barrier is cast on all party members within a radius of 15 yalms.
    Duration: 30s
    Barrier Effect: Prevents damage up to 10% of your maximum HP
    Duration: 30s
    Effect ends upon additional HP recovery via healing magic.[recap]

    PLD Idea 2: Divine Veil + Trait: If Divine Veil is not popped in the duration it will give a Free Confiteor prox. Or Give 10% Barrier to the Paladin themselves.

    Pro: Divine Veil don't feel like a waste.

    Con: If going for free Confiteor the Paladin might get mad when healed the Divine Veil is been popped.

    Still thinking some random ideas I put here more if you like comment too.

    right now living shadow and edge spam window are in the same burst window so it wont be a problem, i personally don't like bcs just keep the current MP economy to throw all the edge on living on the same window for max benefice and i want to DRK have a fluid MP economy again like the HW one and some extend SB and would be partially incompatible or will limit the benefic depending of the situation so for that make a better desing.

    other con is that living shadow animations are fixed, is designed to be x duration and execute x animations during that time, i don't know how easy is make the shadow dealt more or less animations depending of the time added, if we compared the same mechanic on other jobs with variable durations like automaton queen and bahamut that have just 1 generic animation and a finisher that would make the shadow spam the same animation or whatever knowing the devs to acomodate that ajustment.

    I'd like an adjustment to Nin's Trick Attack. Namely: delete it.

    Joking aside, I'd like it if Rescue had a larger range.

    Couldn't just repeat the same fixed animation but you are right tho.

    I just want 1.0 GLA's original 5-hit version of Rage of Halone and the scrapped weaponskill Red Lotus back, they were pretty cool.

    I would say Phalanx as well but that's basically the now scrapped Shield Swipe under a different name. War Drum would be good too, even if again that is pretty much Fight or Flight but as a party-wide buff.

    The main thing I want for PLD is for requiescat to be changed to work more like SCHs aetherflow (to be charge based instead of duration based) so the PLD rotation becomes less rigid about physical/magical. The way I picture it is when you use requiescat you gain 5 charges that remove cast time and increase potency of magic and you can spend those charges on Holy Spirit/clemency at any time within the next minute. So if you have to move out of melee range, you can Holy Spirit, if you or a team mate is in trouble, you can clemency. This way you’re not locked in to spending all your MP in the next 15 seconds after you use requiescat and can use your spells when you need them. Confiteor would be reworked as a way to spend excess charges if requiescat comes off CD and you still have charges remaining (so something like potency increases with remaining charges and expends all charges at once). Other than that, veil could use a rework to not need a heal to proc it, it somewhat made sense when SCHs could deploy adlo off the PLD. But since they nerfed it so it doesn’t deploy the crit shield it no longer makes sense to deploy off the PLD (who likely is going to start as OT) especially if you have a WAR using thrill of battle for the increased base healing effect to make the shield even stronger.

    For new skills, probably some new holy sword attacks, maybe upgrades to spirits within and circle of scorn to things like saint’s cross. Maybe bring back stoneskin as an oGCD to give PLD some form of mitigation other than flat % reductions. And maybe give PLD a raise spell that requires and consumes all requiescat charges to mirror confiteor the same way clemency mirrors Holy Spirit.

    WAR
    This job is in quite a good spot at the moment, I only have very minor issues with it. Upheaval could maybe use a second charge to prevent misalignment if you don’t have the gauge to use it on CD. WAR’s AoE can be a pain too, having to do a single target combo to apply storm’s eye is an issue only WAR has to deal with and pulling with the cone of overpower can be a real nuisance when every other tank has a circle AoE.

    New skills, maybe give WAR a circle shaped AoE that gives storm’s eye that they can pull with. WAR has pretty good mitigation right now, perhaps it could use some more damage buff skills.

    DRK
    I really don’t like DRK, it’s come a long way from its initial design in HW and I don’t mean that in a good way. But the biggest issue is living dead, how that skill hasn’t seen any changes since release is beyond me.

    GNB
    I haven’t played much GNB so I can’t really comment too much, but the rotation feels really busy and it can cause problems when it comes to finding places to weave defensive CDs which is kind of an issue on a tank.

    DRK:
    1) Darkside: Reduces weaponskill cast time and recast time, spell cast time and recast time, and auto-attack delay by 15%.

    2) Two combo system, ideally one that lets you move freeform between your two single target combos and your AoE combo (like Monk).
    -Perhaps have one combo that reduces your Darkside timer in exchange for resources?

    3) Shadowform: For the next 10 seconds, any incoming damage and healing is negated. Damage and healing prevented this way is converted into a temporary shield of up to X% of max HP. Replaces Living Dead.

    4) Shadowskin animation to replace Rampart.

    5) Blood Weapon: Converted to 5 stacks instead of timer.

    6) Delirium: Trait. Whenever you take damage or shield damage for a teammate, there is a chance that your next weaponskill hits twice. Effect can happen once every 30 seconds.

    7) Living Shadow: Using actions that cost MP or blood extend the timer on Living Shadow. Delirium procs are counted twice.

    8) Shadowbringer: Multi-hit combo attack (a la Omnislash). Can only be used while Living Shadow active; damage directly proportionate to remaining timer on Living Shadow. Living Shadow ends on execution.

    PLD:

    1) Aegis Boon: Trait upgrade whereas each time you successfully block with your shield a small amount of hp is recovered. (previously removed GLD skill)

    2) Cover: Range increased to 12 yalms. (Same as DRG Dragon Sight)

    3) Spirits Within: Either buff it and remove the increase for having more health or possibly change even more not sure how yet.

    4) Requiescat: Extend the range to at least 12 yalms but preferably 25 like Holy Spirit. (I also like the previous idea of giving it charges instead of a timer in addition.)

    5) Divine Veil: Allow barrier to be cast on self as well as party members. Healing requirement wouldn't bother me with Aegis Boon being able to Initiate it eventually.

    6) Sentinel: Same as before but add a very small heal over time effect on the party. (all tanks would have their 30% cooldown given flavor to match Warrior's Vengeance)

    7) Shield Oath: OCD Gives 50 oath gauge 120ish? sec cooldown.

    ALL TANKS

    8) All Tank Rush forward abilities no longer deal damage. Other OCD added or some like Spirits Within increased in frequency to make up for the loss. Warrior's one would need to lose the gauge cost also. (Ideally, fights would be formulated with more movement/add spawns necessitating continued use)

    9) Rampart no longer Role Action and originals versions are given back to the others with a new one for GUN.

    for DRK i covered all here https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...re-of-the-job. but i will make a quick resume:

    - MP generation increased and more constant use of Edge/flood of shadow across the rotation and no more MP load and shoot.
    - the trait of generate darkside time from Edge of shadow removed so we use flood of shadow when we need darkside time and Edge wen we don't.
    - Delirium reverted to his previous state, reworked to something really unique or removed.
    - shadow skin come back.
    - living shadow ofering any form of damage buff like x potency increase to all weaponskills and maybe have some skills usable only under his duration, and posible recast halved.
    - blood weapon totally reverted to HW/SB status.
    - darkside ofering more than a damage up, maybe a speed buff here instead of blood weapon and with the changes of edge/flood would make it an actuall playable mechanic we care.
    - abyssal drain cost MP and no Coldown, acting like the aoe counterpart of Edge of shadow on darkside management in aoe situations.
    - living dead reworked or have sinergy with other skills so we finally we able to dealt with it by ourself, i like lyth sugestion too.
    - overall weaker versions of almost everything on lower leves and traits improving them on high levels, example: TBN, dark missionary, stalwart soul.
    - dark mind having convalescence effect so can be usefull on every situation or removed and sustitued by an exclusive reprisal since the skill make the job to OP on heavy magic TB fights, example TEA.

    for PLD:

    - the posiblity of make clemency an oGCD, since the job generate so much MP and overcap it this would allow them to have one free clemency for free use every min with optimal rotation and still being able to spam it at the cost of the holy spirits (MP generation to allow 1 cast of clemency and still get enough MP for requiem cast window), this would allow PLD being able to pop divine veil by themself without costing them anything on limited situations but being able to do it is better than don't being able.

    Tanks role skills:

    - rampart removed and added a variant to all tanks, PLD rampart, WAR foresight, DRK shadowskin, GNB add X name and exclusive animation here.
    - reprisal removed or returned back to DRK exclusively, it's really annoying when both tanks use the skill on the same raid aoe by accident.
    - stun/silence merged in to one skill for space purporse.

    Rework to be closer to HW style of second or branching combos and skillful dark arts use
    -Scourge back as part of said second or branching combo (like pld)
    -Living dead getting changed to something that doesn't kill/cripple and synergises with the rest of the kit if it doesnt. Too many ways to list
    -Delete inner release delirium 3.0
    -Dark arts: costs 2400mp, stocks a charge of dark arts up to a maximum of 3. A charge of dark arts is expended using certain actions. 2nd unlocked at 50, 3rd at 60. use outside combat stocks max charges. gives the pc darkside aura effect at original strength (don't like it? buffs are usable outside combat to remove it)
    -sole survivor: costs 1 dark arts, debuffs target. Target takes increased crits by 10% and Dhit by 10% (Dhit unlocked later as trait)
    -Darkside: costs 1 dark arts using old stance animation, reduces weaponskill recast time by 15% and increases damage by 20% for 16 seconds (15+1 for ping) recast 45
    -Abyssal drain: gains charges, restores a % of hp or now costs mp to give drk some sustain already
    -Bloodspiller/quietus: now costs 1 dark arts
    -Blood price: costs 50 blackblood gauge, uses SB delirium animation. Restores mp and/or hp
    -Living shadow: timer starts as soon as able to atttack
    -Dark mind: pinching earlier suggestion of having convelesence effect
    -Shadow wall: adds a slow effect when struck during duration
    -Quietus: damage boost and sound replaced by voidwalker's quietus
    -Flood of X: player animation reverted to dark passenger, projectile is fine
    -stalwart soul: moved down significantly in the levelling

    pld
    -intervene acquired earlier
    -cover and intervention merged
    -rage of halone no longer replaced
    -divine veil self poppable
    -durations adjusted to prevent drift
    -sword oath/atonement acquired at level 30
    -new 100 gauge button: changes goring blade to savage blade and rage of halone to royal authority for 1 attack
    Royal authority: deals damage with an increase under royal justice, grants royal oath, removes royal justice
    Savage blade: deals damage with an increase under royal oath, grants royal justice, removes royal oath
    -shield swipe deleted

    War
    -returned to having some thought and less spam, similar to sb
    -fracture returned with some actual damage this time
    -mercy stroke returned as ogcd attack (something WAR lacks)
    -bloodbath returned, upgrades to nascent flash
    -berserk is now switch on/off, grants crit boost when enabled at cost of raising wrath gauge on landing weapon skills
    -skull sunder, butchers block, alternate combo that reduces wrath, only available out of rage
    -if wrath gets too high player is afflicted with exhaustion, beast gauge gains are halved
    -deliverance returned as an ogcd that reduces 50 wrath
    -foresight deleted

    role skills, all except for provoke replaced by unique option
    -Rampart: Shadowskin for drk, bulwark for pld, foresight for war and anticipation for gnb
    -stun: low blow for drk, shield swipe for pld, brutal swing for war and new one for gnb...tracer perhaps?
    -damage down: reprisal for drk, flash for pld, ultimatum for war, new one for gnb
    -arms length: tempered will for pld etc
