An Expansion of Glamour Plate Functionality

One of the big selling points of the glamour chest was that you not only didn't have to carry around tons of items in your inventory, but you didn't have to spend a glamour prism every time you wished to change your outfit.

Now, what if you could also save barbershop presets onto your glamour plates?

Something that has bothered me for a long time, and I assume many of you as well, is that you have those really well put together glamours that just only work with a certain hairstyle, color or makeup option. Going to change my plate was often accompanied by visiting a crystal bell just to make sure I don't have that style that looks amazing with one set, but clips horribly with another.

I suppose it would work as a toggle to "Apply Current Appearance" to the plate to save your current barber options to the glamour. This would still ensure that the tiny gold sink of the crystal bell would exist, as you would have to visit them to apply a different style to another plate.

I definitely have hairstyles that I would like to link to particular jobs/outfits..


But I'm also wary that character customization data and gear data (and the glamour attached) are entirely different systems and aren't "linkable". Considering we have to leave the server(why do you think you can't queue anymore?) to change anything about your character, I'm suspecting that character creation and modification are their own thing as far as servers are concerned. Once the data is "set" it's submitted back to the servers and saved, unable to change while the character is being played for whatever reasons.


So while I support your idea, I would temper the expectation of something like this ever happening without major reworks of how the game keeps track of our character data, which is a fundamental change and likely not being considered.
