Sounds like it’s probably hardware failure, maybe your RAM or HHD or SSD is starting to fail.

    Update

A little update to anyone experiencing crashes, 3rd windows reinstall, 3rd FF14 re-download and install, don't install Windows Pro N (i thought maybe this would work), as ff14 wont work, its missing files.

Edit, seemed to crash most often when fast travelling.

Specs Ryzen 7 5800x, X570 Asus Dark latest bios beta
    32gb Mem 3200mhz
Nvidia Founders 3080 all on custom water (no temp issues) no overclock.

Seems to be working so far, i havent installed the latest Nvidia drivers, or MSI Afterburner, i like the overlay for potential issues, but maybe this was the issue, who knows.

Ill keep you posted, it seems to be from the last ff14 update that my issues started happening.

Basically still happening, totally had enough of this, game is unplayable, so will be cancelling my sub until they update the crappy game engine, so prob never.

On a note all other games work fine

We understand your frustration, but can't really fault the game while the rest of us are working flawless. There are updates push by Microsoft as stated above causes issue - 99% is system malconfig. 1% hardware goes on fire.

    4th Update

Thanks for your responses, 4th time lucky, reinstall of windows, but halted all windows updates, seems to be working.

Dare I run any overlay software though, or change it from full window?

    I may try tmr.

    Fingers crossed

PLEASE READ THESE! I've seen this for the past few weeks, a Windows update causing BSODS and poor frame rate for gaming.

You can also manually uninstall KB5001330 as well as the optional KB5000842 .

Had same problem and at the end it was the M2 SSD who died. The BSOD were just the first sign, they became more and more frequent and one day it just didn't start at all. Bought a new one and everything was good again.

yeah, BSOD crashes occuring frequently typically point to either a hardware or system error.

Might need to get your hardware checked out.

    Update 3

Well, as i reinstalled on my SSD which seemed to be working fine, i thought ok it must be the Windows update that's causing the issue, so i reinstalled on my NVME drive with no windows updates (WD black) an lo and behold it crashes again.

So back to my trusty old crucial SSD which seems to be working although i haven't tried to do much in FF14 as im supposed to be working, i do think though that the windows updates break it, but i also think that my NVME drive may be a bit broke, or maybe its a combination of both, ive run hdd tests on the drive they say its fine, ill keep you posted.

Let me know how you guys get on, good luck
