The Tower at Paradigm's Breach rarely ever drops casting gear

My brother-in-law and I were just talking about this yesterday. It seems that the new 24 man rarely ever drops casting gear. It is almost always fending, slaying, scouting, or maiming gear.

I have three characters that are summoner that do The Tower at Paradigm's Breach, and of all the times that I do that raids, very seldomly does casting gear ever drop.

My brother-in-law says that he has to repeat the raid every day for a week to get something for his red mage. He has all jobs to 80 including crafters and gatherers and is a very skilled player. The only job that is somewhat under geared is his red mage because he was waiting to gear that job with 24 man gear.

Me, per character, I find that I have to repeat the raid upwards of five times in a row before a single casting gear drops. And when it eventually drops, only one piece of casting gear drops the entire raid and it is usually either the gloves which I already have, or I get out rolled on the one piece of casting gear that did drop. As a result, I end up repeating it another five times, repeat repeat, repeat to infinity and beyond until I eventually give up and go without for the week.

I do not need it as much as my brother-in-law needs it. I just want to gear my retainers with it as I am going for augmented Cryptlurker for myself. However, it has been a struggle for my brother-in-law who actually needs the casting gear.

I get casting gear in every run I do.
Once again mate, it's just RNG. You're not experiencing anything out of the ordinary.

Rng is rng is rng. I've seen the casting top multiple times so far. I haven't seen the aiming body though which is what I want

So what you do when you want casting gear. Is go as a monk or a bard or something else...

Then when you want monk or bad gear you go as a caster....

RNG is fun like that.

I see the casting body every time I go. The casting head, too. I've seen the casting legs a few times now. It's like Murphy's Law. When you want something so badly, it'll be harder to get. Stop caring, and just stockpile Allegory tomes, and then upgrade the i510 crafted gear to i520.

It's just rng like everything else. Simular thing happened in Pag where I wanted the casting pants for glamour, ran it at least 30 times before I saw it even drop, whereas a friend of mine saw it almost every other run.
