If I recall correctly they started this, found they couldn't get the system to work and scrapped the idea and took all the lore they made and put it into their books and stuff.

Either way I think it would be worth starting again, at least on equip-able items. Say you look at WoW's glamour system which basically can contain the glamour for every single item in the game (thousandsss of slots). . Add some lore to that. Absolutely amazing.

It is an insane amount of writing though, all of which to be translated lol. (Beyond the fact that it seems their system cannot achieve that level of storage, given the other memory issues we have too). Even Blizzard said they had to set aside a large amount of resources (money, people, and time) to make the system.

In general a codex would be cool, every book you read, keys you obtain, items you pick up, locations. Like the Codex in Bioware games, or in Witcher 3 with notes on characters and monsters. I can imagine having to store that on their servers is the part that they go "...heh.. uh no". But if it was do-able it would be very neat.
