But don't you ever want your character to STAND when they craft. Like a workbench pops up and you can stand there making your item.
I was crafting some time ago and I just felt BAD for my character kneeling on the concrete hunched over making a delicate ring.
Maybe I'm just getting older, but it made my knees hurt just thinking about doing that work lol.
At least give us the option? I think it would be cool to outfit your "workbench" with tools, and your "kitchen" with pot's and pans, or a freaking "loom" that you sit at when weaving!
This also brings up the question melding crafting into ONE class, but your workbench is outfitted with tools. You add a blacksmith hammer + cross peen hammer for blacksmith, add carpenters saw + chisel for woodworking. Technically you never have to change to those crafters anymore, but you just stay as "craftsmen class", but level up the craft vs. the job. Change the color, the material (wood bench, steel bench), chair to sit on, Stool to sit on, add lights for working, an orchestrion added to the bench to listen to your favorite tunes while you work but make it a local sound so it sounds like a radio.
You can improve your workbench with a large amount of items that improve your craftsmanship/quality. Like a better vise or a soft clinch vise for improved quality. Bench grinder for polishing and finishing improving quality or craftsmanship. Coal forge vs. Ethereal forge for increasing quality or quantity crafted that is a % chance you will forge additional ingots/nuggets. Which all of these items can be made and sold on the market board to improve your bench, kitchen, etc.
Maybe it's just me...but I think this would be great and really open the crafting game even more to REALLY customize your crafting to the nth degree. I thought about this while I was just cringing at my character kneeling on hard concrete, when I would want to be comfortable when making an delicate ring.
