I'm confused. I pay the same for my FF14 as I did for my WoW account years ago.

First, formatting - no one wants to read that mess.
Second, you seem to throw out a lot of "specific" numbers in order to make your argument seem factual. Instead, it comes across to me as a smokescreen.
40% more expensive: than what, exactly? Provide a relevant example.
Worst customer service in 43 years: where is your relevant data?
19 phone calls: you sound like a pest, to be honest.
1 month to 2 years for resolution: I'm inclined to see this as extreme exaggeration, I can't imagine even the worst company telling you that your resolution could be 2 years away AND that you must have a continuous subscription to maintain your ticket. Bad companies would just lie and say it will be fixed "soon". This just sounds like you're lying to make it sound more egregious.
73 different people who have the same experience: are you taking some sort of official poll?
You've dealt with 39 gaming platforms' customer service (from your other thread): I'm 39 years old and I've been gaming since I was physically able able. The need for customer service is rare, not common, unless you are likely the problem. Your experience sounds excessive to me.
Lastly, regarding the subscription cost, that's obviously going to be subjective depending on its worth to you and how often you play or how much you enjoy the content. However, the cost is under 50 cents a day. It's hardly an unreasonable cost, but again is something each person would need to gauge for themself. In my experience, FFXIV is well maintained does not have a history of being heavily bug-ridden. Every MMO is going to need maintenance and is never going to be perfect. But in comparison, I would say FFXIV suffers from it less and deals with it more consistently.

And I am grateful for that. I don't want to have an official real world price for my in-game currency.
****ing paragraph breaks, how do they work?
Oh sounds like the PLEX system in Eve online. If that still exists since it went free to play some time ago. He's referring to WoW Tokens from World of Warcraft, which can be bought for $20/€20 and sold in-game to other players for a substantial amount of Gold (in-game currency). In exchange for that gold, the buyer gets one month's worth of subscription time. The thing is, WoW's subscription model is roughly the same as FFXIV's: $15/€13 per month. Meaning that Blizzard actually makes more money per WoW token sale than they do from the would-be buyer's monthly subscription.
Not a terrible system really I used to fund my character almost entirely through plex and ground l4 missions for mondo isk.
Something similar in xiv might actually be good as it would at least get gil circulating in the economy a bit. Rather than just sitting as a stagnant and ever growing pile of money on people's retainers.
Happily drop big chunks of my gil in exchange for some game time.

10.99€ is too expensive? I don't know how much other games charge, but imo that's cheap.

Just use the cheaper option for monthly fee then. What was it called again? The one that you can only have 1 character per server.
