And I am grateful for that. I don't want to have an official real world price for my in-game currency.

I'm totally not believing that it took 19 phone calls nor am I even entertaining the possibility that they told you it would take between one month and two years to resolve your issue whilst you have to maintain payment on your sub during said time.
Even Blizzard wouldn't try that and they are the bottom rung when it comes to getting money out of people

I was wondering already if their problem that they needed support for was something rather... selfmade.
I dont want to claim that every problem someone encounters is "selfmade" nor that customer service shouldnt try and fix the issue, but a lot of times they're most likely busy cleaning up a mess that the player made themself. So taking it all out on the customer service - like OP is doing - doesnt seem to be fully warranted... nor constructive - as we've learned: You'll get better service if you're nice to the people helping you.
...which makes me wonder if OPs experience with them is such a bad one because he yelled at them...

Bruh, you're playing a fully fledged updated regularly online game for only 15 bucks a month. Get the longer plans and save money cause it seems like you're not playing off and on.
If you think that's too much money then you might just have to step back and not play but whenever you can buy a time card. It sucks yeah, I dealt with it for a year or so, but you gotta take care of you and your financial needs. And if a game is a burden on it, best to let it be.

if roughly $0.50 a day is too expensive, I challenge you to tell me anything else that you can do for that little every day should you choose that costs as little. even a single daily coffee costs you more. would you buy your daily fix if you had to pay $90 a month? likely not. (thats assuming a very cheap cup of coffee at $3 every day and only 1)
this "subscriptions cost too much" thinking has been around as long as subscriptions have been. yes, as a lump sum they may appear that way, but broken down to daily cost, is really a pittance for this much entertainment

Which token are you referring to. There is the security token OTP thing. That's more than worth investing in. Hell mines well over 10 years old and still ticking although just barely.. £10 for extra account security. And they last 10 years.
Sub costs are actually pretty cheap considering the competition its like £35 for 6 months. Or something.. I'm legacy but pretty sure the standard sub is the basic sub is the same fee these days you just get less characters than legacy if I recall.
Never needed EAs customer service I guess. Literally voted the worst company in the states 3? Years running.
SEs customer service had in my experience been ok for what I've needed. In the days if final fantasy XI I must have fired of my old patriot arrow accidentally a half dozen times and customer service was always nice and quick to restore it.
My account got blocked when I went travelling due to suspicious IP activity. Took em 20 mins to unblock it..
I got suspended for RMT activity once. Found myself in mordian gaol. Actually a fun chat with the gm. Who realised it was an error. I bought some bronze ingots of the market board for 5million gil (suspicious) to quickly knock up a weapon for someone. serves me right for not paying attention.
And at one point my account was suspended due to my credit card being flagged as fraudulent use. So had to call support for that and took maybe half hour to sort out.
So I can't complain really

He's referring to WoW Tokens from World of Warcraft, which can be bought for $20/€20 and sold in-game to other players for a substantial amount of Gold (in-game currency). In exchange for that gold, the buyer gets one month's worth of subscription time. The thing is, WoW's subscription model is roughly the same as FFXIV's: $15/€13 per month. Meaning that Blizzard actually makes more money per WoW token sale than they do from the would-be buyer's monthly subscription.
WoW Token. We talked about that on previous page.
He can't. Cause there isn't any.
