Would be cool to get new members but would not want to level them all.![]()
Secret trust characters could be cool, do some side quests in Amaurot - gain shade of Emet. I'd take him lol.
I'd also enjoy having access to Raubahn, Gaius, or Estinien. My chocobo companion would be another neat one.
Adding more to the trust system itself, greater characteristics and differences, as well as perhaps customization (rather than just levels it might be like earning talents to increase their power)- perhaps alternatively to levels is this new customization of power (sort of a merit talent system, so you can make them better and faster, smarter, but you don't have to baby sit each one to make them useable in later content, you might take 2 super charged trust members to help you level your third in higher exp value content).
Adding aswell chono trigger-esq / FFXV link attack moments could be fun. Meeting certain requirements you get a quick action (those abilities that take up their own slot, like when you have the sword or shield in the Ivalice raid)- sort of baby 'teamwork' LBs.
Aren't the Trusts companions supposed to be story characters that travel with you?
Not trying to rain on any parades here, but a lot of ideas being thrown around and I'm not sure how some of these NPC's would be able to join us in even just the ShB duties. I'd be pretty confused to see a lot of the proposed NPCs showing up to fight with me in, say, Pagl'than and/or The Twining...
Honestly that is how I thought of them before the system came out, but then magically you've got 24/7 access to them like they've nothing better to do ever (thinking post story particularly, they, SE, does actually lock them as story makes sense the first time round).Aren't the Trusts companions supposed to be story characters that travel with you?

It was why I thought, to make a throughline, we might keep using our squadrons but the trusts would be like OP limited use options (maybe can only use them once a day or something but they stronk). Rather, now that they are, basically, on call whenever we feel it- I feel less like "aww I can't ask for them because lore" lol. "You belong to me!" >: D
Also you could always pull the stuff FFXI did (you've these friend crystals, so it's not quite calling 'the person'). Which I was referencing with Emet, since it'd work better that way (rather than calling actual him... also helps with balance excuse so you're not expecting him to just go Hades mode and wreck everything).
Haurchefant for HW dungeons. He has to be using a lvl 1 shield, though.
I mean... rerunning dungeons never made logical sense lol.
Are there more Sin Eaters that are somehow replacing the old bosses I've already beaten?
Did someone go put the pillars back up in The Aery?
I cannot fathom how many mother porxies I've made running and rerunning Matoya's Relict. Probably have one for every Kobold by this point.
I'd love Fordola as another tank. Probably not a 'paladin' just as Ryne wasn't a ninja but a sword and shield tank.
Put Graha back to using a bow for a ranged physical and then we're good.
I'd honestly rather not see a flood of new trusts, just a couple to fill in some gaps. A phsycial ranged dps and a second tank would be good for me.
I dislike Fordola for what she did in Stormblood, but 5.5 has shown to me she is willing and ready for redemption, much like Gaius was for me with the Weapon storyline. Considering that the writing is now also there for it, I wouldn't mind her being around more.
