Here's the thing. It is your job since you agreed to the ToS stating you would act in a manner appropriate to 13+ players (INCLUDING ages 13-17). It is technically BOTH the player and parents responsibility actually (players to act appropriately & parents to have some sort of moderation over their kids activities).

Plenty of kids DO receive proper attention and moderation from their parents but THAT DOES NOT give you the right to violate the ToS either or act inappropriately in a game that includes minors. You made it your responsibility when you joined the game and agreed to the rules. I'm struggling to understand why you think you don't have any and if it's because you just don't want to....then buddy....don't play FF14. If you want a fully 18+ game where you can literally do whatever you want (from selling your body to fucking in public) and dodge responsibility....go play Second Life. They literally don't give a shit what goes down in there.

Defending the rules of the game or stating the legitimate fact that kids can be groomed and preyed upon by adults in any situation/game isn't pearl clutching, it's literal reality. Speaking from someone who has seen it go down in other games, one in particular had a guild that would cover up anything that went down with them that involved their leadership engaging in predator and pedophile like behavior (I was not a part of it but quit the game as soon as someone on their side leaked what they were doing). This literally doesn't work because blacklisting doesn't prevent seeing future violations of the ToS by other players. Blacklisting doesn't work like an ad blocker. I'm sure you know this but you like to fall back on that flawed solution to defend your position.

And it's mandatory to accept the ToS in order to be able to play this game. Every single one of us have agreed to the terms SE set.

As for the contents of the game...SE tightly controls how controversial and sensitive topics are portrayed. They make sure they are shown in a way appropriate for minors. For content relating to sexual activity we only get story elements that point to those things happening, we are never given the intimate details about them nor are we ever shown a scene of the incident. Seeing a npc talk about how their father was a cruel person who took advantage of a war to have his way with a woman is not an invitation to in any way rp the act of doing that in every single detail. Because by doing that you are being very explicit and portraying that sort of situation in that manner is a violation of the ToS. Alluding to a certain thing happening is NOT the same as seeing it happen right in front of you.

If a person is incapable of acting in a manner that abides by the ToS then they should not be playing this game at all. It is not difficult to take your sexual content elsewhere. If a person finds this difficult to do then frankly they need professional help.

I don't have kids, I never want kids. They are far too much work and commitment for me. I hate how loud they are, I hate other people's brats that don't listen and they cannot be bothered to reprimand their sprogs. I want as little to do with children as possible. But even so, adults conducting themselves in a manner that can be damaging to children knowingly is disgusting. The "Oh these kids aren't my problem, so I shall ERP with whomever I want" doesn't fly. Every adult has a personal responsibility to not partake in any illicit activities with minors. "She said she was 18" is a pathetic excuse.
