I'll admit...that gave me a chuckle and I hate it.
Whilst I'll happily defend people who ERP and have. Ultimately it's a teen rated game and for all the outfits you can get it it manages to keep that teen rating. Mature themes can still happen in teen rated content but there is a limit to what that can be and how it is presented. Given they keep their teen rating, they're obviously keeping within those walls enough, but that doesn't mean because there are adult themes done in a teen friendly way that they get pushed to a teen unfriendly way.A. Not our proplem and b. There is a way discord ask for a driver id with pic and date visable then to allow in force it with pic near face lol even if that had a point this is a fantasy game not real life
Parents shouldnt let their minors play the game anways so rlly thats noones proplem but the stupid parents
But yes, parents are going to let their kids play the teen rated game.
However, it is your problem. If you're found ERPing with a minor and somebody goes to the police? How will it stack up in court? The law often will treat the adult as the responsible party. They won't hold the parents responsible for letting them play an age appropriate game, they won't hold the kid responsible because they're a minor, they won't hold SE responsible if they have covered themselves legally (which arguably, the ToS does, because it prohibits illegal activity). Even if it's a fantasy game and not real life, Cybersex is still considered an issue, which ERP could easily be interpreted as.
YoshiP also plainly said in an interview to report in game brothels, he said there is an issue with that sort of thing legally and pointed to the part of the ToS that talks about the law. And said they'd investigate them and that they have legal support for most countries when investigating them.
This is why people have an issue with it being publicly advertised. Me personally, I see no issue of all parties know for certain that they're adults and do it all privately. Openly advertising it, whilst seeing it doesn't bother me, I recognise the potential risks for minors and potential legal issues for that, so it is probably better than the PF isn't filled with stuff that contradicts the game's age rating.
Whilst to a degree you can put up adult content walls, there's ways around it, horny teenagers aren't necessarily going to be honest about their age. And the law will still tend to hold the adult responsible. Discord's feature there might help, but then my argument then would be, if you must advertise, do it through Discord.
I'm a regular RPer, a LOT of RP advertisements are done on Discord.
I haven't checked the PF in a few weeks so can't say about this specific thing, but I don't doubt that it is not a troll and an actual perv weirdo. I mean, back when I used to check it was full of 18+ ERP advertisement. I find people selling feet pics in a Party Finder of an online game really cringe regardless, would love to see it removed even if there aren't kids involved. Take your erotic fantasies elsewhere, please.

That seems like a rather extreme response to people not wanting the game to be overrun by ERP...
A its rpg Roleplaying game.. And B. You dont like it dont read it or go near them.. Not that hard they are using the system for friends to play there way which honestly im being soft compared to how i should be..
And c dont even mention fellowship that thing is pure trash doesnt have a chat built into it
ERP is against TOS because you can't be sure the other party is of a legal age.A its rpg Roleplaying game.. And B. You dont like it dont read it or go near them.. Not that hard they are using the system for friends to play there way which honestly im being soft compared to how i should be..

And well, it should be pretty evident why SE would want to nip anything that could involve an adult ERP'ing with a minor.
Or a minor stumbling into such an establishment not knowing what it is. And many kids are apt to lie about their age online because there is no way for the internet to catch the lie. So when the owner asks their age, they may lie and say an age above 18. Then they get RP'ed with in adult situations.
And what if that then spills into real life?

Meaning teenagers.
Last time I checked people between the ages of 13 and 17 are teenagers and minors. Meaning minors are allowed to play this game.
Are you really advocating that people give strangers their real life physical address?! That's like one of the things most people know not to do because of safety. You never know who the other person is on the other side. What if they have stalker tendencies and attach to you? They then have your physical address and can stalk you in real life.
Also, that gives out players real names and DOB's. Two key pieces of information many places include in verifying one's identity. That's also a major security risk if you give that information out. One should not be advocating that.
Also still does not counter the fact that it's against the TOS. The TOS's comments regarding the type of content ERP is only forbids the player from engaging in such behavior. SE is allowed to do so as they know to what extent they can push the boundaries and maintain the age rating should they choose to do so.
Read the ToS, particularly section 3.3.A its rpg Roleplaying game.. And B. You dont like it dont read it or go near them.. Not that hard they are using the system for friends to play there way which honestly im being soft compared to how i should be..
