There are a lot of people that place in top 100 that know about the cheating. We report cheaters that are never banned all the time. We even have stream evidence of cheating. Acting like there is no cheating is just as much of an issue as those that claim everyone in top 100 is exclusive or cheating themselves.

Funny that someone on Primal thinks cheating is not a problem.

Some people say pvp rewards have no value, they are not worth earning. PvP needs something to motivate people to do it. Well those top 100 rewards do so. People want them, but they don't want to put the work into earning them. That's your fault.

If your system is so bad it needs this degree of exclusivity where only 100 people can obtain something, it's not a good system. Lo and behold it hasn't worked, to the shock of absolutely no one, since they're literally killing off Feast due to the sheer lack of participation.

Regardless, the issue people have taken with this system is what Aurida addresses. It's the blatant inconsistency. You could just as easily argue Ultimate or PotD need "motivation" to convince people to attempt them yet four years later their rewards are readily available.

Why is exclusivity bad?

If top100 makes the mode so dead, maybe it should be top30 then so people keep competing and the mode stays alive, if I follow you correctly?
Maybe top100 was just the right limit, especially in the past, to ensure even players who are not that dedicated still get the reward.

It isn't bad. It just clearly isn't working, either. This game has had absolutely laughable PvP retention rates for years. WoW sure doesn't lock people out of arena ranking rewards on an arbitrary ranking system and has way more people playing it. Yoshi P wouldn't have straight up gone back on what he said in the past if he thought it was working well.

I genuinely enjoy Feast. More people should get into it, I want better game quality so I can improve further as a player, the whole kit and caboodle. It's strange from what all Square has copied that has worked, a reward system that retains actual interest seems to not be in grasp yet.

Part of the reason I play pvp is for the exclusive rewards. If any Joe Bob can get the rewards by farming the wolf marks then I see no point. I worked for those rewards, even a recolor would be slap in the face, and I'm not going to complain about not getting something like the season 1 coat because I wasn't around.

It wouldn't hurt anyone not to get those rewards, but it would hurt all those that worked for them if they get re-released.

FFXIV needs some content that is exclusive and hard to get and not just from doing something mindless like hunts/crafting/primal farming for 50 hours.

I'm ok with them changing how the rewards work, maybe a battle pass thing for future new rewards. But old rewards should remain unobtainable. If they ever add the old stuff into a new battle pass I'll probably quit, lol.

Content should never be removed... every content that is Limited is Wasted dev team work in the long run and wasted content for new or returning players.

The entire PvP system and Reward system in FF14 needs a rework an overhaul at this point. The only thing the current system does is pissing off players.

trying feverishly to imagine an alternate universe in which this was the case for PvE and people were locked out of obtaining EX/savage mounts after the tier unlocked, and we have ten billion threads asking for the old mounts only to be told by raiders that it wouldn't be fair to the people that did them on content if you could go in with higher item levels and unsync and just burn them, and that they'd quit the game if they saw someone that joined in ShB riding the gobwalker lol
