Registering to game gone wrong??

Hey everyone,

I really need some help to clear some things up cause im new to the game. I just bought the complete edition of ffxiv and i redeemed my promotion code to sqenix and also i redeemed my registration code to playstation store, i also linked my sqenix account to my psn account. Still after 3 days of playing i just noticed on my character select screen that i have 27 days of play time remaining.
I mean this is not the free trial, is it normal for this to happen??

You get 30 days free when you register the game. After your thirty free days are up, as they say when registering, you will have to begin paying the monthly fee.

Adding to the above, you may not have realised, but this is a subscription based MMO. You need to pay a monthly fee if you want to play.

Entry level is £7.69/€10.99/$12.99 a month
Standard is £8.99/€12.99/$14.99 a month (although gets cheaper if you buy more months at a time and 6 months at a time is the same price as entry level)

Entry level only allows one character per world which is probably all you need. Standard allows 8 per world.

Alternatively there are timecards you can buy other places which are always "Standard" level, although these are rarely cheaper than just subscribing directly with Square Enix.
