Just curious if these mean anything or are just some dev's "I thought they looked cool" symbols. Since they're 90 degrees periodic, it would seem they can't merely be a cipher of a 12 hour dial... But there are 24 total positions.

I doubt it's anything XIV related and more an VIII reference, since that's where like 90% of the battle mechanics come from.
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

Most of them look like Futhark runes (old Norse runes) as far as I can see, but if they carry any specific meaning or just put there to look cool I don't know.





That could still work for a 24 hour clock face. Just more sets of the same numerals, because they're aliens and our standard 2/12 split or 1/24 split doesn't have to apply to them.
