More explicit, dynamic tooltips (Popup Info)

    Hiya folks,

I would like to propose more detailed tool tips for the 2.0+ interface. These tool tips would be more transparent to the game mechanics and may provide estimates on what to expect from a stat or ability.

    Examples:

Hovering a mouse over the Accuracy attribute might display the chance to hit an enemy of the same level.

Hovering the mouse over the Damage attribute (not yet present) may display the average damage you may perform on an enemy of the same level.

Block, Parry, Critical Rate, Enmity, or other areas as well. Block that may factor in your Dexterity, Shield, Traits, and active abilities will display your chance to block.

Critical may display chance to critical, critical damage bonus, and/or chance to prevent critical hits in a percentage as well.

Or an ability like Cure, we might see a dynamic tool tip such as the expected amount on Cure. This would factor in our level, healing magic potency, and/or any other factors.

Or on Aero, we might see the chance to bleed and/or the expected bleed damage we will be causing as a result of our enfeebling magic potency or other such factors.

Or the expected damage (or accuracy penalty if applicable) from Heavy Shot and Piercing Arrow. i.e. Heavy Shot deals 200% weapon damage. Piercing Shot deals 150% weapon damage and ignores defense by 30%.

If it is not an interface limitation for 2.0, I would like to see this present.

I reason that there are some dedicated players out there who will find a formula or set of standards that the community will begin to adhere to. But it would be nice to have some expectations of how effective these abilities would be even without their extensive testing (and I thank them for going those extra miles on testing this).

I believe having this level of transparency built-in will increase the overall player confidence when they look for materia or looking for new gear.

    Thanks in advance.
