Level 35 Paladin quest is literally impossible

When you see the same person repeatedly posting exaggerated requests, not taking the advice they were given last time, never coming back to confirm it helped them or to say thankyou, and making ridiculous complaints like that he is being maliciously grouped with the worst Frontline players in the roulette? Nope, sorry, I'm not playing. If he does happen to be genuinely in need of help despite all indications, he's used up all his goodwill.

Except other new players genuinely in need of assistance might stumble across the post when searching for information. Doesn't hurt to reply and share information to help out those future adventurers. Even a troll can spark constructive discussion.

The quest in question definitely is a pain in the neck if you're undergeared, which a new player likely will be (you're not going to have level 35 gear when you're still on the level 24 MSQ). There are a bunch of non-aggressive ringtails not related to the quest at the same location (not to mention it's a spawn point for Cornu), and it's easy to accidentally hit them as you're trying to kill the quest ringtails. Instead of just fighting 3 at a time, you can find yourself fighting 5-6. A new player has no idea what's about to happen so they're not going to think "maybe I should clear out some of these other creatures before I interact with the quest destination". They almost may not think to immediately move to a spot where the other ringtails are less likely to be aggro'd once the quest ringtails are spawned.

Wouldn't that teach you pretty quick then? Dying isn't a huge setback in this game at all. By all means I support leaving the "right" answer here for others to find but if someone tries once, and dies and then declares the quest impossible it's a little hard to not immediately be incredulous.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you get an Echo style buff if you keep failing job quest. This in return makes the fight easier for you. If you still can't do it then wow.... I just don't know what to say. Maybe you just had really low level gear.

i way going to post the same thing about a 60 something smn quest but then i realized i was in level 1 gear.

Only if it is a instant battle. the level 35. pala quest is in the open world, which is not that hard to do maybe pain in the *** if undergeard but not in difficulty

Oh hey, I think this guy is in one of my XIV Facebook groups. Posting the same kind of posts as this there. The Pokemon name gives it away.

I can’t quite remember the full details, but I think he’s some kind of well-known troll even outside of FFXIV. I’ll see if I can get the details if anyone actually cares.

Haven't doing that quest since A realm reborn so I watched a vid and I can instantly guess your problem. You are finding the leaping ringtails where they spawn. Use shield lob to attract them from range and fight them away for the normal enemies that spawn there. you Have to think critically and use your kit.

I don't put much faith in their ability to keep this place even remotely orderly.

I used to think the mods were quite chilled too but I've just got back from a 10 day ban for responding to the forums biggest troll with sarcasm and irony, apparently it's bullying.
