Level 35 Paladin quest is literally impossible

I struggled a bit when I started to play and found some ARR job quest difficult (Was first playing as WAR.)
Gear up will solve the problem, getting a chocobo will solve the problem, it's an MMO there's many tools at your disposition, use them.

Kinda wish I could find some story quests difficult these days. It's always good to struggle a bit against something epic, always leave a good memory.
Man, I miss SB epic finale.

Suggestion: After failing, read the chat from start of the duty to the point of fail.

Failing a job quest mostly happens because you did something not as intended.

When there is something to pay attention, the NPCs will say it and this will be stored in the chat log.

I'm curious as to how you're having so many problems. If I were to hazard a guess either you're not doing it right or your gear is not sufficient, but it doesn't require you to over level. I mean there is no shame in being new and inexperienced and people can of course help, but it is not that they game is too difficult or at fault. And seeing that you have SMN at 80, I expect you'll have already done harder content than this, so either your gear is not in check, you misunderstand something about the quest (or paladin) or you're trolling.

It’s most likely gear. The rate at which would reach 35 now it would be hard to be relatively geared for 35 content. I reran the MSQ on an alt and I think I hit 35 while still using the 17 dungeon set, and even then it was piecemeal because I barely had to do dungeons.

Op, if you haven’t already cleared it, understand that the 35 quest was very likely tuned to the lv 32 dungeon set (Calvary, iLv 34, from Brayflox).

That and I can not understate how chocobo regen trivializes open world content.

I remember from back in the day a couple of GLA/PLD quests could be spicy, but the most important thing is making sure your gear is up to par. If 6 ringtails are getting you down that low, then you may need an upgrade. Also as others have stated, use the chocobo with regen as an ability. They will use it even if they're still to freestyle and will help damage when you don't need them healing.

You should report this as a bug. Clearly something is wrong if most people can do it.
