Xbox Series X|S controller button mapping

I just bought a new series X|S controller for my pc. Everything else it works fine. Then I started FF14 (Non-Steam) and for some reason the X button does A, The right stick doesn't work and its ran through the triggers and so on. Button is completely wrong. If I plug it in through usb-c the controller responds right in game. But through bluetooth it does not. Problem is my old controller was also ran through the bluetooth with no problem. If I try to calibrate it in in FF14 the new controller will begin to drift non-stop. Is there a fix to this I'm just not trying?

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Does this issue occur when a different controller is being used?

No, it only occurs when I'm using the X|S controller. My Xbox One controller works fine with FF14. Any other game I also play works with the X|S controller with no issues and the button mapping is right. Both controllers run on bluetooth as well.

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply

With the X|S controller, I would advise to keep the controller plugged in. Unfortunately, the game does not support use with Bluetooth.
