    Public beta server for combat changes

    Title says it all. Either I'm unaware of their existence or they do exist then ignore.
    The recent job changes to tanks and healers have left them in a state of complete dullness. Can we please get a beta server that will showcase job changes before they're implemented? The whole Astrologian being a balance machine has ruined the rng aspect that made it fun. Creating a public beta server will allow feedback on a bigger scale instead of listening to individuals who only care about endgame. Leveling is now twice as boring without the extra skills that didn't do much in the long run.

    A bit late but I'm at a point where I agree this would be a good idea. Tanking and Healing became so much of a no-brainer that I'm constantly bored no matter what class I play.
    I'm still salty how boring they made Astro with the big changes and I will never not be salty until they change it back, lol.

    Sadly, seeing as the game becomes more and more casual friendly, it'll probably only get worse from here.

    That would be a nice idea! a server with the live client, but using new job/combat changes. This would allow testing without letting people datamine everything, from fights to story spoilers.

    And yeah, I agree that healers and tanks are kind of no-brainers atm. The only thing that makes healing actually hard is because you have to react to people's mistakes, but... in general, the gameplay is pretty much the same. I agree that AST was the most interesting healer because of the cards "minigame" built in.

    With the implementation of Sage, I'm kind of seeing changes for all healers across the board (major ones in case of SCH), and I hope this gets addressed!

    Personally I'm happy without a PTR. Compared to something like WoW where everyone knows every detail of the patch months in advance, letting everyone experience and figure it together is great.

    That said, I do agree about tanks, and especially healers. I can only assume that no one on the dev team has ever actually played a healer before because that's the only way most of the ShB changes make any sense.

    But the OP's suggestion is a PTR - only - for job changes. You wouldn't see anything beyond gameplay.
