Another/Alternative use for Alliance Raid Coins

i think it would be a good idea if the alliance raid coins could be used to buy a coffer from an npc to get a specific gear piece that they want. make it cost like 3 or 5 coins so it's not a one and done and people never run it again. this is in addition to their current purpose to buy twine/ester/etc for tomestone gear.

Worst part is... the old alliance raid coins can't be traded in anymore. They flat out took out the ability to trade them to npcs.



They even changed the item description to say they are worthless.



Go a head and look them all up, they are all have no use any longer.
A big slap in the face to anyone who saved them from previous tiers.
There use to be a couple Orchestrion songs and other stuff you could buy with them... not anymore.

I didn't even realise we couldn't use them anymore. I suppose it makes sense because they were used to buy gear augmentations, and the gear is already augmented now.

I'd be fine with this. It's really frustrating when you're trying to finish a set and just need one or two specific pieces and then have some bad luck getting it to freaking drop. And then unless you're a tank, potentially having competition to get the thing once it DOES drop.

One coin per piece may be too generous but 3-5 could be nice.

I'd really like these coins to be put in the currency tab. Once they stop being useful, the server just rolls them to 0 (or lets you trade in like old tomestones).

A lot of us just attach emotionally to these useless currencies. If you fought hard to beat a fight when it released and earned it, it's hard to just toss it away even though it's useless. It's like a trophy.

That's what the 'reset coins' part is for.

They don't let you hold onto expired tomes, so no.
