Average wait time 11 minutes as a healer???

I've been spoiled whenever I queue as a healer. Instant queues. It's one of the nice perks of playing a job that's in demand that not a lot of people play.

But since 5.5 dropped, and even the latter part of 5.4, I've noticed my queue times as a healer have gone up considerably.

I'm wondering, are there more people playing healers? Because 11 minutes as a healer is a first for me. And this was during primetime. Like at around 8ish PST. That's approaching DPS wait times.

It's not necessarily more players queuing as healer. It could be fewer players queuing as tank.

Unless I'm leveling a job, I'm usually switching between tank and healer to get the faster queue time. What's listed as Adventurer in Need won't always be the fastest. If I queue and I'm still sitting there a minute later just to find my role waiting number is more than 2, I'll switch to the other role.

Less parties being formed, more healers than tanks.

Yeah. Adventurer in Need lags a bit and if both roles are in demand, it might be one or the other that gets the instant queue.

Also of note, if Adventurer in Need switches to your role while you're in the dungeon, you'll still get the bonus. So, for example, if it says Healer in Need but tank is instant, and you queue as tank, chances are at the end you'll still get the bonus because it will probably have flipped at some point.
