I'd really like an option that traps ground targets within its range, in such a way that you never get the purple "can't cast here" version of the targeting circle. Instead the circle just stays at its maximum range in the direction you are trying to cast.
This way you can always cast, and casting at max range is really easy and quick. I feel it would be great for things such as Ninja's teleport spell and for those times where you're trying to cast far and keep accidentally slipping the target outside of max range. I feel like this would improve things for both mouse and controller targeting.
Obviously it should just be an option, for people who prefer the current system. But personally I'd massively prefer the system where you can always cast, and trying to cast outside of your range just defaults to casting as far as you can in the direction you're trying to cast.
