    Switching Clients

    I feel like this is a silly question that isn't even in the right forum, but here we go anyway.

    I have been using Steam for FFXIV since I started playing. I am under the impression that Steam is somehow causing issues with my controller, so I would be willing to switch over to the Windows client just for the chance at solving the issue.

    I have read that I would not be able to use my existing FFXIV character if I were to switch to the Windows client. Is that true?

    Additional question; FFXIV also just stopped picking up my 360 wireless controller after nearly a year of using it. Gamepad is enabled too. How do I fix this?
