How to Set FC Chest Permissions

A few days ago I started an FC. When I log in an alt with lower rank, they are able to withdraw anything from any tab, including gil. I have tried to google How to Manage FC permission requirements without success.

I would appreciate if another FC leader, or someone who understands how to set chest permissions to explain to me how to set them.

Ideally I would like to have three different settings. One, where only the leader may withdraw gil, two, where people can access tabs 1 thru 3, and a third, for officers, where they can access all 4 tabs.

Chest permissions are accessed by first setting specific member ranks in the Free Company menu - by assigning different ranks to members you can set among other permissions members to have full chest access, or only partial (can remove items but not gil, or can only deposit gil and items and not withdraw them).

In the FC I run with my boyfriend we have three basic ranks for chest access - a 'new member' role where the chest is inaccessable completely, a 'standard member' role where they can deposit items and gil but not withdraw, and finally the 'admin' role which my boyfriend who is the FC leader has full access and can deposit and withdraw (not even I have full access, by my own choice).

All permissions are set up under individual member rank. Go to Rank in the Free Company menu then bring up the submenu commands for the rank you wish to change.

Keep in mind that as the FC ranks up and additional tabs are unlocked in the FC chest, you'll have to go back through all the ranks to individually set the permissions for the new tab. Default is set to allow members access if I remember correctly.

Also, it's very important that you do not assign the Promotion/Demotion privilege to anyone else. At all. The Promotion/Demotion privilege has the known effect of allowing people to overpromote, which would render rank-based limitations on chest, membership, and housing access pointless.

Not to mention promoting someone else to FC leader even though the person doing the promoting is a lower rank. It's one of the things SE supposedly is working to change but we haven't been given any update on progress since they said they're reviewing how FC permissions work.
