    Crafting Jobs Should Share EXP and Levels

    Basically, since now all crafting jobs are basically the same, I believe they should be updated so that they all level up at the same time, like SMN/SCH. This would allow people to not have to buy multiple sets of gear for each crafting job for being different levels.

    Only if they compensate this by dramatically, and I mean dramatically reducing all forms of exp for crafters. I don't relish the prospect of being able to level all my crafters in the time span of probably less than 4 hours.

    Curious, why not? You would be able to focus on crafting more. Also, my idea was for if this is added is that first all your crafting jobs will be boosted to the level of your highest crafting job, and then will share exp.

    Well far be it for me to assert my mentality onto others, but all crafters have had this expansion, and to a small degree last expansion is an utter exorcism of nigh on all and any form of grinding that was previously present for crafters, so whilst some may enjoy the prospect in capping all crafting jobs in the matter of a couple of hours, I personally certainly don't since it pretty much undermines and degrades the majority of the effort previously put into levelling. But this aside though, it's an MMO, and honestly, the grind and timesinks to reach level caps and access to certain pieces of content should be integral to any MMO. Subtract that, or delve into that mentality shift, and honestly, I could probably find quite a few single-player RPG games that would be more of a timesink to me. If leveling crafters became this easy I really don't want to think what shifts we'd see in the economy when everyone and their grandfather become utterly self-sufficient. In fact, if crafting became any what less difficult of tedious than already is (lack thereof), then I'd probably focus on combat more since it'd yield just as much, if not more profits.

    Hey~
    I use a single crafter (a level 80 ALC), and if this means I now have all crafters maxed can suddenly repair all my own gear then I'm all for this lol.

    I agree with this. I had every job class leveled up to 70 before Ishguard restoration was a thing. Then I watched someone get there in a few days.

    If you're too lazy to level up every crafting job today with all the help that's out there, you don't deserve to call yourself an Omni-Crafter.

    Bc its already way WAAAAAYYY too easy and fast now... IF we do that we might as well share all exp on all jobs so you dont have to level that much...

    And what's wrong with being fast? And my main point was because all crafting jobs have the same skills (unlike combat jobs), so if all shared the same level people could seamlessly switch between each one. Like, seriously, how does getting to max level faster a problem?

    I don't think players should be able to just spend a couple hours and have access to every crafting item in the game. I like the way crafting is now and frankly, I like that I have a different class for each type of craft. I'm certainly not wanting to lose all 8 of my Skysung tools for a single Universal one. Not after all the months I spent leveling up each one before the restoration of Ishguard made it doable in a few days.

    If you don't want to spend the gil or the time leveling up the crafting jobs then don't do it. But dumbing it all down for the entire playerbase is not the answer.
