Don't insult the dev team and she said they would see some adjustments. As i recalled you monkeys wanted maps redone not cities >_>.This is a shame. The cities were designed by monkeys it seems... the only somewhat acceptable design is uldah's.
Seriously, take a look at sandoria, windurst, bastok. Windurst had a pretty lousy design so it needed teleport npcs, and here on xiv every city needs those...
I'd also like to see more lively cities. With npcs going on with their lives and stuff.
It makes me wonder how much of a redesign the rest of the game is getting then. If the remake of the maps is so drastic then the city wont fit it.We had a talk with Yoshida about this, and he let us know that the three city-states won't be completely redesigned from the ground up after the launch of 2.0. However, areas that caused a lot of frustration or weren't very convenient might have some changes made to them.
Great news from my perspective - I really like the current cities. I'm not a huge fan of Ul'dah, but I definitely wouldn't want Limsa or Gridania to change in a major way.
What are you talking about? Everyone wanted city redesigns too. We've all complained they look stale and lifeless. The structures look new and pristine... in a city like uldah? Come on.
Gridania makes no sense. Its so inconvenient to get around it...
the cities focus all the important things in this one sector and the rest of the city is its own little ghost town.
not to mention how it all seems lifeless, the buildings have no interiors, npcs are just a few and they dont even walk...
Such an interesting opinion you have here...What are you talking about? Everyone wanted city redesigns too. We've all complained they look stale and lifeless. The structures look new and pristine... in a city like uldah? Come on.

Well... "Common" sense isn't all that common anymore, now is it?
Speak for yourself. I know quite a few people that love Limsa and wanted her tweaked a little, but not torn down completely. Don't assume to speak for all of us.What are you talking about? Everyone wanted city redesigns too. We've all complained they look stale and lifeless. The structures look new and pristine... in a city like uldah? Come on.

Make it happen.
I'm pretty sure that 1k+ post thread was about maps. What was it called 1-50 or some crap, nothing about the cities. What are you talking about? Everyone wanted city redesigns too.
