Ehm, the pdf's are showing that they also will redesign the cities as well..

seems to be gridania (built on water like Windurst in FFXI?) :


does this belong to gridania (the city) as well?

Don't know which city this is supposed to be, thought at first this is Ul'dah but the surroundings are very green, hm. anyone who understands japanese, what is written there?:

No, its a small mill.. Gridania is to the Southeast of there IIRC.

Those are ruins from outside a dungeon

Probably the closest thing we have to seeing what a remade city will look like (if this is indeed Limsa and not simply an addition to it). The spikes emerging from the ground around Limsa will radically change the cityscape, and it has fewer towers than the current Limsa. I believe the area in the middle of the spikes will feature the new arena.

This is a new battleground/dungeon area The japanese refers to 'safe spots' while climbing up.

This is a large Garlean base, it will be connected to both Thanalan (north) and Coerthas (south)

Not Gridania, but probably nearby.

Well maybe if you look on the map the picture came from, you could find out.

That's instanced "dungeon". Says stuff like "safe spot".

In conclusion, no evidence that they are changing current cities. But certainly evidence that they are adding new "hamlet" areas and such.
