    You mean how it pretty much is now distance-wise? The main issue is that the main scenario leads you to Ul'dah and pretty much leaves you there. Ul'dah stays at Ul'dah, Limsa goes to Ul'dah, Grid goes to Ul'dah. Everybody is in Ul'dah, and it really doesn't direct you elsewhere without looping back to... you guessed it! Ul'dah.

    Damn..

    While i appreciate everything else in 2.0, I have to say this is rather disappointing. If anything, what's kept a lot of players (myself included) interested is the complete redesign of the bland world of xiv. Certainly, the cities need one too; seeing as a huge amount of time is spent in the cities if not the majority of time for some players. The changes to the world as per pdf look really attractive, why can't that be extended to the cities? Surely everyone will be pleased to such a change. There's already a complete overhaul being done to the whole world, i don't see why the cities were excluded. The cities could really use a whole lot more creativity and life. Just looking at the new 2.0 world vs the old cities, i see a major discrepancy..

    Petition time..? ;;

    First of all, i'm glad you came to your senses and removed personal attacks (as per your editing comment) simply because you have a different opinion to me and have different interests.

    That to me sounds clear enough with emphasis on the bold and underline.

Until then, chill. We have no idea what they have in store for the cities.
    I won't rule out the possibility of it being decent with some tweaks here and there. The point here however was more of a redesign than just simple tweaks here and there. In the end, neither one of us knows how it will turn out but what we do know is whatever info they do give us, and judging from the rep's comment, it just simply doesn't hold up to the 2.0 standards many have come to expect. I certainly don't speak for all, i can see some people ok with this, however i as well as many others have already expressed our disappointment.

    The other point is why wait until it's a tad bit too late when they are currently working on a complete overhaul of the world? Isn't this the right time to speak up and express our concerns? What is it with this attitude of just keep shut and let them do their work. Yoshi has on more instances than i can count kept asking for our feedback, be it positive or negative. Let people raise their voices already and to each their own.

    You may be right and it may impress, if so, let this message be heard to the devs, and just maybe they will rest our minds with some detailed concept art. But until then, i say expect more messages like this.

    I wished they were cities instead of forts.

    They are cities inside of forts. There's a difference.

    My concern is where will things like an auction house go, player housing? I do not want to see a repeat of everything being entererd through the market wards. The grand companies should have a visable base within the city as should the main story place and an auction house. There is nothing partically interesting to look at within the cities they lack colour and are pretty damn awful in comparison to XI's. I'll reserve further judgement until I see 2.0 but this does have me slightly concernerd.

    Great news from my perspective - I really like the current cities. I'm not a huge fan of Ul'dah, but I definitely wouldn't want Limsa or Gridania to change in a major way.

    I wished NPCs lived in the city and moved about...and the children played in the streets...to this day there's only one NPC that is memorable to me...Ul'dah's Ococo juggling...

    Remember your other games...I want the streets full like The Last Remnant! Which by the way was an SE game...so understated...it's one of SE's best games...too bad it didn't get the attention it deserved.

    I happen to really like Ul'dah and Limsa. Gridania, however, can burn to the ground for all I care.
