Suspension of character creation: how long?

I hardly see how being kicked if you're inactive for an hour can be considered "constant". How much time do you need for a drink, smoke and bathroom break?

If you're not playing for at least an hour, I'd say it's absolutely fair that your "bandwidth" be freed up so others can have a smoother experience. Just log back in when you return. It takes a couple minutes.

Hell, some games will kick you back to character select after 20 minutes.

Also I've been waiting since May 1st (yeah I know that's not very long compared to when the ban was created) to join Durandal, and this is getting a bit rediculous.
